50キロ近いオスのアメリカンブルドッグの雑種 が置き去りにされました。

The 100-pound male American Bulldog mix was left
on Wilton Dr in Wilton Manors on Tuesday.
今朝のニュースでも取り上げられていました。
自転車につないで走っていた飼い主は、
暑さで倒れたこの犬を助けることなく置き去りにしたのです。
It was reported by morning news.
A leashed dog running alongside a bike in the midday sun collapsed
from the heat and cyclist abandoned the dog in the street.
通りがかった人がすぐに近くの店に連れて行き
ファイアーレスキューを呼んで無事救助されました。
The dog was rescued by passers-by who took the dog
into an air-conditioned store and call Fire-Rescue.
今は動物病院に保護され、その生命力の強さから
ポパイと呼ばれているそうです。
The dog is in the Animal hospital now.
They are calling him Popeye because he's so strong.
容態は回復に向かい、自分で歩けるようになったそうです。
引き取り手の問い合わせも来ているとか。

They've already had a number of calls by people wanting to adopt him.
