ぶり返し again.....

金曜日だいぶ 腰の調子が良くなったレア

家に来た生徒さんをお出迎えしようと、ちょっと張り切ったところ

また、ぶり返してしまったらしい。。。ありゃりゃ。

Yesterday, Lea that makes a recover, wanted to say hello to guests,

and ran to the entrance.......but

she seems to get a back pain again.

今日もほぼ、ベッドで療養です。

Lea stays in her bed today.....

そして同じく金曜日。マミィはキッチンのスツールを蹴っ飛ばしてしまい

ほぼ直りかかっていた右足の薬指をまたぶつけてしまいました。

こちらもぶり返し。。。。痛たったた。

Yesterday afternoon, mommy stubbed her toe on a chair again.

Her toe almost feel completely better.......oh no!

not again!

心配にはおよばず wax!

この一週間ぐらい下の子が耳の閉塞感が気になると。。。。

マミィの友達が、同じような症状で病院へ行ったところ

突発性難聴と判明し、入院。治療も大変だったと聞いたので

さっそくドクターの所へ。

These one week, younger boy worry about plugging ear.

Mommy's friend suffered her sudden deafness before and was hospitalized.

Mommy brought him to see a doctor after school.

ドクターが問診の後、耳をのぞくと

「耳垢がたまってるね。クリーニングね」と行ってしまい

いや、なんか検査とかは。。。？

After doctor's questions, doctor took a look inside his ear.

"You have many wax and needs cleaning"

Only cleaning? no exam?

とりあえずアシスタントのお兄さんが

この薬を耳にたらし、待つこと５分

Assistant dripped this medicine in his ear and waits for five minutes....

その後スポイトで温水をしゅぽしゅぽ入れると

出てきました。。。。耳垢

小指の先ぐらいの大きさの。。。びっくり

After that, wash away....came out a big ear wax. 

!!!!!

そして、ドクターが笑顔で登場し耳を見て

「はい、ノーマル！どう？」

下の子「良くなりました。」

え〜〜〜！！！！耳垢が原因？？？

Doctor came back and looked inside younger boy's ear

"Now, normal. How's feeling?"

Younger boy replied "Good!"

What? That's it? 

大事にならずに良かったです。。。。(^ ^;)hahaha

It was good without becoming the serious matter......hahaha.

行動開始！ action!

この２ヶ月、ほとんど家に閉じこもって

誰にも会わないからとノーメイクで過ごしていました。

前向きに生活しようと思っていたけれど、

年齢的にも、新しい事に挑戦！なんて張り切れる年じゃないとか

実際はかなり後ろ向きで。。。。。なにもする気がしなかった。

For these two months, mommy almost keeps indoors.

She didn't make up because she doesn't meet anybody.

She kept her feeling positive but it's negative actually.

She was not in the frame of mind to do anything.

でも、これではいけないなあー

もう少し自分をかまってあげよう。。。と

久しぶりにヘアーカラーをし、メイクをしてみました。

But she said herself " I mustn't be like this, tack care of myself...."

She dyed her gray hair and made up after so long.

まだまだ、何かできる事があるかなー

少し頑張る気持ちが出て来た。

ボーっとしてたら、今年の一ヶ月が終わっちゃった！

さて、来月からは少しずつでも行動しよう！

Mommy thought she is not too old to start something new.

She must be getting better.

Oh no! already, one month  has finished this year.

Let take action from tomorrow!

終わりそうもない。。。orthodontics

今日は下の子の歯列矯正のチェック

フロリダのドクターからの紹介で、一番家に近い所を選びました。

もうすぐ２年経つので、後は仕上げだけをお願いすればいいのだろうと

思っていたんですが。。。。

下あごのポジションが少し後ろにあるため、噛み合わせが１００％ではなく

もう一年ほどかけてこれを矯正する事を勧められました。。。。ありゃりゃ

Younger boy still has braces ....
he visited new orthodontist to check it.
His lower teeth and jaw are far behind upper.
The doctor recommended him to continue wearing braces one more year.

下の子が「何にもしてないのにレアずるい！」と言った

レアの歯並びは完璧！！

Younger boy envy Lea's perfect teeth. 

さすがに down...

さすがに疲れが出たかな？

この数日。。。。

As you might expect, mommy feels tired.....

these few days....come down with fatigue.

情報交換 hospitality

ボーイズを送りだしてすぐにお出かけしたマミィ

Broward Convention Center のホスピタリティートレードショーに

参加するOhana Arts のお手伝いです。

After boys went to school, mommy went to Broward Convention Center.

Ohana Arts participated in Hospitality Trade show.

各ベンダーがそれぞれの情報交換をして

一緒に仕事ができるようだったら連絡を取りましょう。

みたいな内容でした。

Venders trade their company outline, and find the new business partner.

They must get a lot of new business opportunities.





午後は、上の子の心臓の検査です。
心電図、心音、超音波検査どれも異常なし。
はっきりとは分からないが、咳のウィルスが
耳の三半規管に影響したのかもしれないので
しばらく様子を見たら良くなるのではとのことでした。
ただいつまでもめまいが続くことが問題なので
乗り物酔いの薬を試してみたらとのアドバイスをもらいました。
とりあえず、これで様子を見てみましょう。

After that, mommy brought older boy for heart test.
He took electrocardiogram, ultrasound, and doctor heard his heart beat.
Everything is good.
Doctor said it's not sure but cough virus effects on  three semicircular canals.
We need to watch  process of his condition for a while.
However, dizziness is a big problem,
doctor recommend him to take a medicine of motion sickness.
  Lea hope it works.

ちょっと心配 physical problem

抗生剤を飲み終わって、咳が出なくなったと思ったら

今度はめまいがする。。。と言い始めた上の子。

今日も学校を休み、ドクターの所へ

先日の検査結果も全て良好。

After older boy finished taking antibiotics and stopped coughing,

 he feels dizzy now.

 He visited doctor again, but doctor said all of the results that he took last week are fine.

血糖値と血液細胞の値をチェックしてもＯＫ。

？なドクターが明日心臓の検査を受けるように他のドクターの予約を入れてくれました。

どうしちゃったんでしょうね～～

The doctor checked older boy's blood sugar and blood cells 

for figuring out the reason of his dizziness.

 However, the result was good.

The doctor made an appointment for checking his heart tomorrow.

What happened in his body??

さて、今日はキルトの日

新しいパターンを用意してレアも準備万端です！

今回は少しだけカットするという課題を出しました。

スキルアップの為にはちょっと厳しい指導も必要ですね～

Today is the day of Hawaiian Quilt.

Lea prepared for new patterns and was waiting mommy's students.

She looks forward to completion.

Mommy gave in an assignment a little bit.

Mommy instruct them for getting better, depending on their skill.

 

午後は昨日の検査結果を聞きに

上の子をドクターへ連れていきました。

超音波検査と血液検査は問題なし。

咳も出ているし、レントゲン検査が少～し 気になると言われ

一週間抗生剤を飲むことになりました。

咳止めシロップ、とってもまずいそうですが

早く良くなるようにちゃんと飲んでね～

Mommy brought older boy to meet the doctor for the checkup results.

 The results were clear but he still has cough,

doctor put him on an antibiotics and cough syrup. 

The cough syrup taste bad, but it's for getting better.

頭痛 getting old?

片頭痛で2日間寝込んだ。。。。

さすがに2日間続いたのは初めてで。。。。年かなあ～

Mommy was in bed for a migraine headache for two days. . . .

As might be expected, it is the first time that it lasted two days.....

guess she is getting old......

抜きました。 no more extra

今日は先月発見された上の子の過剰歯を抜歯する日です。

手術の準備中、ちょっと緊張～

Today was the surgery of  pulling out older boy's extra tooth

that was found last month.

He seemed nervous a little.

全身麻酔が心配だったのですが、昨日キルトの生徒さんから

全身麻酔で親知らずを2本抜き、顔も腫れず痛みもほとんど無く

こちらでは一気に4本抜くのが一般的と聞き、安心して手術に臨む事が出来ました。

Mommy worried about general anesthesia,

but mommy heard from her quilt student who had an experience to pull out her wisdom tooth

with general anesthesia and she didn't have any pain and swelling.

It is common to pull out four wisdom teeth with general anesthesia at one time in U.S.

 

手術は30分ほどで終わり、ケアーの仕方などを聞いて 家に戻りました。

抜いた歯、思ったより大きくてビックリ。

The surgery was done for about 30 minutes.

The nurse explained how to care after surgery.

Extra tooth is big!!

6針縫いました。。。。痛そう。

Older boy got six stitches.......looks sore.

 

家にもどると、麻酔の影響かそのまま熟睡。

レアは心配そうにずっと側にいました。

After he returned home, he fell into a sleep.

Lea was staying at his side.

 なんだか最近病院への付き添いが多い。。。。

 今日は上の子を（先日話した過剰歯のため） 歯医者へ連れていきました。

こちらではそれぞれ専門のドクターが患者を見るので

いつも検診に行っている歯科医が紹介してくれた別のDentist です。

Mommy brought older boy to dentist 

because he has an extra tooth.

He needs to visit the office of  specialist.

ドクターがチェックした後、手術の時に

局所麻酔か全身麻酔の選択があると話があり

どちらにするのか決めてからスケジュールを決めるとのこと。

他にもどのくらい時間がかかるのか、どのくらいで完治するのか

などなど質問して家に戻りました。

Doctor explained he has two choices of anesthesia.

Doctor recommended him local anesthesia 

because older boy is big enough to keep his patience during surgery.

Mommy questioned how long does it take for removal of an extra tooth,

and completely recovery.....etc

 

上の子はやっぱり意識がある中での手術は恐いという事で

全身麻酔を希望しています。

リスクは高くなるのでちょっと心配ですが、気持ちはわかる。。。。

まだ若いので骨も柔軟なので２０分ぐらいで手術は終わるそう。

術後も２週間弱で完治するらしいです。

とりあえず、早くサメを卒業して下さい。

Older boy prefer general anesthesia because 

he afraid of taking the surgery while he is conscious.

Mommy anxious the risk a little but inderstand his feeling.

The surgery will finish about 20 minutes.

Anyway he needs to graduate from a shark.

初装着 Contact lens

下の子は目が悪いです。

ゲームのやりすぎ？確かに。。。。

2年ほど前から必要な時だけ眼鏡をかけていましたが

本人の希望でコンタクトレンズに代えることになりました。

Younger boy has bad eyes.

He plays game too much?......Precisely!

He changed his glasses to contact lenses today.

毎日使い捨てのレンズを薦められ、一週間ほど試してみることに。

「良く見える!!」と喜んでいました。

自分での取り外しの仕方を教わったのですが

なかなかできず。。。。。

明日から30分は早起きしないといけませんね～

Doctor recommended him to use one day disposable lens.

Younger boy try it one week and he learned how to put on & take off,

but he was struggling with lens.

He has to wake up 30 minutes earlier from tomorrow morning.....

レーザーによる視力回復手術や

先日紹介した夜装着するコンタクトレンズなど

医療技術は進歩しています。

視力低下、老眼、白内障と人は老化とともに歩む道だそうですが

現在ではそれも治療できるようになって来ています。

Nowadays, there are many way for vision improvement.

  Laser surgery, Orthokeratology........etc.

Human being is not able to avoid becoming

nearsightedness, farsightedness, and cataract with aging

They are curable now.

しかし、日頃から気をつけるに越したことはありません。

紫外線も眼に悪いので、日差しの強い日はサングラスで保護することも大切です!!

 

It is important that you take good care of your eyes in daily life.

Using sun glasses is good for protecting your eyes from UV.

視力回復. Eye check

下の子は学校ではメガネを使っています。

こちらに来てから少し度が進んだため今日眼医者に行きました。

Younger boy needs a glasses at school.

He went for an eye checkup because pediatrician recommended.

チェックアップの後、ドクターが薦めたのは

夜寝ている間に付け、日中は外すコンタクトレンズ。

After the doctor checked, she recommended contact lens

that kid wears it before sleeping and take it off daytime.

このコンタクトレンズを付けると今以上度が進むことはないのだそうです。

According to the data, if you use this lens, you don't lose your currently eyesight.

後は費用等ダディと相談して決めることにしました。

Younger boy decided to go for it after talking with daddy.

検査のためしばらくまぶしいので

帰りに使い捨てのサングラスを貰いました。

柄が無く顔に装着出来るフィルムです。

マトリックスみたいですね～

Younger boy had dazzling because he applied mydriatic eye drop.

He got this disposable sun glasses.

Looks like Matrix.....cool?

コレならレアも掛けられます。。。

"This is good for me."

 最近マミィは新しいフラの先生のレッスンを受けています。

彼女のウクレレと歌はとても素晴らしいです。

そしてもちろんフラの美しさも格別です。

今夜は先生のご主人がお誕生日だったので

みんなでお祝いをしてきました。

Mommy is taking new Hula lessons recently.

Kumu play an ukulele and her voice is splendid.

Of course, her Hula is very beautiful.

We celebrated her husband's birthday tonight.
