寒いし暑いし season change

朝方の気温はまだひんやりと寒い

The temperature of early morning is still chilly.

でも日中は良いお天気で、かなり温度が上がるので

However, daytime temperature goes up.....

毎朝、何を着ようか迷ってしまいます。

Lea is wondering what she should wear every morning.

ここ数日暖かい日が続いているので、

お散歩も楽しい！

お花も咲き始めました。

The flowers come into bloom.

嵐が来ました。 storm!

ずーっと深刻な水不足のSFベイエリアに

今度は嵐が来ると大騒ぎになっています。

Storm is coming!!

昨晩からかなり激しい雨になり、上の子の学校はすぐに休講となりました。

SFより北のエリアでは浸水などの被害もかなりあったようです。

It was heavy rain from Thursday night,

a lot of school were closed.

でもこの浸水した街の中でカヤックをして楽しんでいる兄弟が

ニュースで話題になっていました。

Storm brought urban flooding.

The brothers are enjoying kayaking in the city.

レアの家のパームツリーも強い風に煽られています。。。。

でも下の子の学校はお休みにはなりませんでした。^^

The palm tree was struggled against strong winds.....

注意報は自動的に携帯にメーッセージが届き、

放送中の番組も中断して、このようなアラートが表示されていました。

Mobile gets an emergency alert automatically,
The program broadcasting is stopped, and a warning is displayed.

さすがに今日は出かけられないのを察したレアは

クッションの上でふて寝ですか〜？

Lea inferred that she is not able to go outside today,
.......and sulking on the pillow.

どちらにしても moderate

久しぶりの雨。

深刻な水不足だったので、恵みの雨ではありますが

First rain in a while ....and blessed rain, too.

せっかく咲きかけた梅の花が散ってしまうし。

However, the flower for the coming out is falling....

レアは外で用事を済ませるもすぐに家に駆け込み。

もちろんお散歩も行けません。

Lea has to jump into the house after toilet.

Of course, she cannot go for a walk.

サンフランシスコより北の方は浸水などの被害も出ているようです。

降らなくても、降りすぎても。。。。なかなか難しい。

North area is swamped by a heavy downpour.

It is serious even if it does not rain even if too much rain.

あったか！ beautiful day!

今日も日中は本当に暖かく半袖で過ごせるほど

空も真っ青。

Clear and warm day, again.

学校から戻った下の子とレアは庭で一遊び。

Lea played with younger boy in backyard.

水際も気持ちがよく。

Relaxing at poolside, feel so good!

午後３時の気温は なんと26℃

near 80°F, at 3 pm

お日様の日をたくさん浴びて、遊んだので

夜はぐっすりです。

今年の天気はちょっと異常なのでしょうか？

今日は日中記録的な暖かさに温度が上昇しました。

ちょっと前は記録的な寒さだったし。

A few weeks ago, cold snap came.

そして、この冬は全く雨が降らず Red Flag Warningが出されています。

これは火事が大変起こりやすい状態であるということです。

大寒波 cold wave

なんだか映画のような事がアメリカ本土に起こっています。

２０年ぶりの全国的大寒波。

It's real "The day after tomorrow"

A blast of bone-chilling cold reaching lows not seen in two decades

 gripped the United States.

特に中西部、北東部の気温は低く

南極よりも寒い地域もあります。

Sending temperatures in some areas plunging to below those at the South Pole.

シカゴの動物園のポーラベアーは寒さをしのぐために屋内に

寒波による死者は２０人以上、飛行機も何千便とキャンセル

A polar bear at zoo in Chicago has been relegated to indoor enclosure 

due to the subzero temperatures.

The icy winds have already claimed at least 21 lives.

Huge number of flights cancelled.

Polar Vortex と言い、北極の寒気がアメリカ大陸に南下して

この寒波を引き起こしているのだとか。。。

The cause of cold wave is polar vortex.

場所によっては噴水も凍り付き、バナナで釘が打てたらしい。。。

幸いカリフォルニア州はこの寒波を逃れているので、今日もレアはお散歩に行けました。

Fortunately, California is not frozen area.

Lea was able to go for a walk.

朝方の気温は氷点下となりました。

飛行機もキャンセルが多く混乱しているようです。

日のあるうちにお散歩

それでも寒いです。

Lea went for a walk daytime, but it's cold.

今日はオーダーしていたこのロケットが日本から届きました。

Mommy's sister ordered this locket and parents photos.

It arrived today.

外は寒いけど、気持ちは温かくなりました。

Outside is cold, but mommy's heart warm.

とにかく寒い。 freezing
