とりあえず楽しかった PS４demo

上の子が学校からメッセージを送って来ました。

Older boy sent text during school.

と、言う訳でお迎えに行った足でそのままSony Styleへ

so, Lea picked boys up and went to Sony style.

１１月１５日に発売になるPS4を早速試してみました。

Older boy tried new playstation!

なにがどのように変わったのか、よくわかりませんが

とりあえずスマイル！

Though Lea didn't have an idea what is difference,

just SMILE!

レアはショッピングモールに行って、

大好きなショートケーキを買ったので

ハッピー！！

Anyway Lea is happy, because she bought her favorite shortcake.

高校の最終学年を迎えた上の子は

進学に向けて真剣に向き合って行かなければならない時期になり

今日はACTの試験を受けに行きました。

Older boy has a senior year 

and has to give his full attention to choosing a college to attend.

Today, he took ACT.

アメリカの大学に進学するために必要不可欠なGPA, SAT/ACT

GPA/ grade point average はいわゆる学校の成績を示し

日本で言ったら内申書のようなもの。

SAT/Scholastic Assessment Test とACT/American College Test は

どちらも統一学力検査で、日本のセンター試験のようなものです。

He doesn't have something special 

he needs to get good score.

SAT とACTは両方受ける必要はなく、

またどちらも何回か受ける事が出来るので

上の子は今年いっぱい何度か挑戦する予定です。

He try several times to take SAT and ACT the rest of this year.

テストは昼過ぎに終わり、家に戻った上の子が遊び始めたのはGTAというゲーム

先日シリーズ５が世界同時発売になるやたった３日間で

10億ドルという記録的なセールスを達成したゲームです。

After older boy finished the test after noon, he played the PS game GTA-V

This game reached $1 billion in worldwide sales on Friday,

after just three days on the market.

まるで、映画のような世界観で自分が色々な事をするのだそう

確かに面白そうなのですが、基本は悪党。

悪い事をしてお金を稼いでいかないと行けないのがちょとね。。。。

The game racked up record-breaking sales despite criticism of its relentless violence.

 "because of the transgressive thrill of playing as a criminal."

バーチャルライフを楽しむのもいいけど

現実の頭文字３をちゃんとクリアーして下さいねー

It's not bad to play the virtual world for a change.

なくなっちゃった？ already gone

上の子は１１月発売予定のPS４を

クリスマスプレゼント（気がはやい。。）として買ってもらう事にしたのですが

Amazon, Best buy, Game Stop ではすでにプレオーダーが売り切れ。

なくなってしまったそう。

Older boy already decided his Christmas present, PS4.

It is going to be released in November,  

and advanced orders has already been seen.

However, it already sold out at Amazon, Best Buy, and Game Stop.

Sony Style に確認したらまだ大丈夫という事で行きました。

レアも一緒にシリコンバレーで一番人気の大型屋内モールValley Fair mallへ。

Older boy went to Sony Style in Vally Fair Mall for the advanced order,

because they still have it.

Lea went together.

無事オーダーをした後、ウィンドーショッピングをしながら

レアのお店「Happy Go Lucky」へ行こうとしたのに見つかりません。

後で調べたら、クローズになったとのこと。。。なくなっちゃった。

There was a dog boutique "Happy Go Lucky" in this mall,

but Lea was not able to find the shop.....

Mommy checked website......Oh no! it closed.... already gone.

デモ Nintendo demo day

Nintendo Wii Uの新しいゲームがデモできるというイベントがあり

ボーイズも近所のBest buy へ

レアも一緒に行きました。

Boys went to Best buy for demonstration of new Nintendo game.

行列を避けるためイベントの１時間前に行ったのですが

すでに待っている人が２０人ほどいました。

ボーイズの後ろにはあっという間に長蛇の列が出来ました。

Boys went to the demonstration one hour before, 

because they wanted to avoid the long line, 

however about twenty people were already lining up.

The line behind boys got longer soon.

一時間以上待ってボーイズが遊んだのはマリオ３Dワールド。

デモの参加者はこんなノベルティーグッズがもらえました。

After about one hour, boys played Mario 3D World.

They got novelty goods after playing.

それにしても、最後尾の人は一体何時間待つのかな？

How many hours must the person of the tail wait?

相変わらず same ol'

昨日、今日とボーイズはテストのため学校は半日

スケジュールもフレキシブルなため、レアは送り迎えで忙しい。

Yesterday and today, boys' school was half day for midterms.

Lea was so busy because she had to bring them to school and pick them up.

テストが終われば、相変わらずゲームばかりしているボーイズ。

プレイステーションのマスターズが発売になり

お気に入りの選手でプレイして盛り上がっています。

After the test, boys get involved in their games again.

They got a new game  "Masters" and

enjoy playing in favorite players.

レアがお散歩に出かけると、道端にリス！

When Lea went for a walk,

there was a squirrel on the path!!

レアは？　ハイもちろん

What did she next?

 .......of course.

相変わらずお転婆な姫です。

Lea is tomboy.

 

 

様変わり alter with time

明日のサンクスギビングを前に今日は帰省ラッシュで、

道路も空港も大混雑

 

 A lot of people return to hometown for family gathering of Thanks Giving.

明日は全国的に良い天気の休日。。。

It will be fine nationwide tomorrow.

そして、金曜日のBlack Friday に向けて、お店の前にテントを張って待つ人たち。

Pembroke の Best Buy は去年も同様でした。。。。みなさん何が欲しいんでしょうか?

Some people pitched a tent in front of a shop and wait for Black Friday to come.

What do they want to buy?

ボーイズは久しぶりにDave & Buster's へ遊びに行きました。

毎週水曜日ゲームは半額です。

ラッキーボーイの下の子が、いきなり500枚のチケットをゲット!!

Boys went to Dave &Buster's today.

Every Wednesday, game price is half.

Younger boy who is a lucky boy, got 500 ticket soon.

ボーイズが小さい頃大好きだったゲーム

This was a favorite game when boys were little.

そして大きくなった今は。。。

これはi-Phoneのゲームと同じものだそうですが

アーケードゲームもタッチスクリーンの時代なんですね～

映像がとてもきれいです。

And Now.....they play this.

You can get same game on i-phone application.

ふと 、パイレーツのシューティングゲームのランキングを見ていると。。。。あら？

LEAの名前が何度も出てきました。

いつの間に遊んでたんでしょうか？？？？

Mommy found a Pirates shooting game.

The Ranking appeared on the screen........what?

The name of LEA came out many times.

"When did you come and play, Lea?"

帰りに立ち寄ったGame Stop ではタブレット用ゲームのデモがありました。

Boys found the demo of games for tablet at Game Stop.

タブレット関連商品は子供向けのものも発売されています。

カラーリングが出来たり、ラジコンのコントローラになったり

A lot of tablet related products are released, even for kids.

Kids are able to do coloring on i-Pad,

and can use i-touch as controller of RC.

クリスマスプレゼントも様変わりです
