片付いた not new but ♥

ずーっときちんと整理したかったマミィの作業スーペースが

やっとスッキリ片付きました。

For quite a while, 

mommy wanted to put her sewing stuff together,

and finally, it was cleaned up.

たくさんある布地を棚に収めて、みやすく使いやすく♥

Many fabrics were put in the shelves.

easy to find, easy to use.

ここにある家具や小物は全て、マミィが少しずつドネーションセンターで見つけたもの。

嫁入り道具のミシンも含め、どれも年季が入っていますけど。

レアも自分の居場所をしっかり確保していました。

Mommy collected all furniture at donation center,

those are not new, but her favorite.

にぎやか welcome!

今日はマミィのキルトの日

レアもマミィとお揃いのドレスでお出迎えです。

Today was mommy's quilt lesson.

Lea wore matching dress with mommy.

今日は３ヶ月の赤ちゃんも来たり。。。

He is Kairu, three-month baby.

ルナちゃんも来たり。。

Luna came, too!

とってもにぎやかでした。

Mommy made this bag charm as sample for workshop of ribbon lei.

生まれながらの be born to be

今日はお教室の日。

キルトの生徒さんの完成作品の写真を撮ろうとしたところに

すぐ来たので、「どいて〜」と言われてしまったレア。

Today was mommy's quilt class.

One student brought her quilts that she finished.

When mommy took a picture, Lea was coming soon.

"Lea! please get out."

「じゃあレアも一緒に写真撮る？」とマミィが言うと

ソファーに飛び乗り、一発でこのポーズを決めてくれたので。。。。

After for a while, mommy said "Lea, do you want to come here?"

Lea jumped onto the sofa soon and posed perfectly.

みんなに「すごーい！」って言われちゃった！

Everybody said "Lea is born to be a model!!"

今日のお仕事 today's work

今日はキルトのお教室。

レアはマミィが準備を始めるととにかく落ち着かず。。。。

Mommy's quilt class.

When mommy starts to prepare for lesson, Lea feels jumpy.

生徒さん一人一人に挨拶

いったん始まればおとなしくしていますが

今日は新しい顔もあり。

Lea feels down after welcome to each people.

終わって皆さんが席を立つと、またまたじたばたとします。

When the lesson finish,  Lea feels jumpy again.

It's her work, too.

本日もお疲れさまでした。

Lea must be tired, Good night! 

本日の頂き物 got things!

今日は今年最後のキルト教室だったのでクリスマス会を行い

このお花をいただきました。

”先生のイメージだったので”と選んで下さったそうで、マミィはうれしい。

Today was last lesson of 2013.

The students gave mommy this flower, they chose it out of image of mommy.

She is so happy.

レアの家にはないのですが、この辺りは柿の木が生えている家も多い

こちらをいただきました。

There are a lot of house with persimmon tree in Bay area.

However, Lea's house does not have persimmon tree.

 One of the student gave mommy these.

そして、レアはお友達のルナちゃんからクリスマスプレゼントをもらいました。

Luna who is Lea's friend gave Lea Christmas present.

早速興味を示したレアですが、

クリスマスプレゼントは２５日まで開けてはいけませんよ。

Lea wanted to open it, but

do not open until Christmas.

早くクリスマスが来るように

レアは眠ってしまいました。

For Christmas coming early,

Lea has slept.

近くなった became far and near

今週マミィは毎日キルトがあり

今日はサンフランシスコへ行ってきました。

サンフランシスコは少しだけ遠くなりました。

Mommy has the lesson of Hawaiian Quilt every day this week.

She went to San Francisco today.

レアはボーイズのゴルフの練習に行きました。

ゴルフコースは新しい家のすぐ裏。

近くなったので頑張って練習してほしいですね。

Lea went to golf course for boys practicing.

The course is very near to new house.

Practice hard!




今日は下の子の大好きなRory が久しぶりに優勝しました。

Rory McIlory win for first time in a year.

あれやこれや this and that

今日はキルトの日

この場所でのお教室最終日です。

Today is a quilt day before move.

家族にはあまり認められていませんが、

これもマミィの仕事の一つ。

もちろんレアもお手伝い。

The family don't recognize but the quilt class is mommy's important job.

Of course, Lea helps mommy.

出来るだけ本人の意思を尊重したアドバイスをし

完成作品を見て、今後の課題を提示します。

Mommy respects the intention of her student and advised on the best way.

Other student showed her finished work.
Mommy suggests some points for more improvement.

キルトの後はすぐにボーイズのお迎えに走り

After lesson, Lea picked boys up immediately.

ご飯の支度の合間に荷物運び

肉体労働はマミィの役目なので

一緒に行動しているレアもつかれたあ〜

Prepare dinner, drive house stuff to new home.....

well, physical work is mommy's task in this family.

Lea always followed mommy and tired very much.

別アングルも one more take

あと１０日で引っ越しなので、少しずつ荷物の移動をさせたいのですが

ありがた〜い事に、マミィはワークショップの依頼をいくつかいただき

そのための見本作りに忙しい。

こちらは今日完成したクリスマスオーナメント。

Moving day comes in ten more days.

Mommy have to drive household goods to new home little by little.

However, mommy got many opportunities of workshop in first week of December, 

she has to make a sample.

These are one of samples.

広告用の写真を撮っていたら、またしてもやってきたレア様

When mommy was going to take a picture for advertisement, Lea came nearby.

違うアングルも撮ろうと思ったら。。。。

Mommy tried to take an another picture........

結局、レアの背の届かないテーブルの上で撮りました。はは〜

Mommy ended up taking a picture at the table which Lea can not reach.

...............Aha~

残り２ヶ月 over the final two months

今日はキルトの日

新しい作品を選ぶのに参考になるのがキルト本ですが

かえって目移りして決められないことも。

Today is quilt class.

When students decide new quilt, these books are very helpful.

やっぱり作品見本を見て決まることが多い。

でもハロウィーンはもう間に合わないので

Mommy's quilts are more helpful.

It's too late to start making Halloween quilt.

クリスマス物になりました。

マミィも先日作ったストッキングの色違いを作っています。

The student decided to make Christmas quilt.

Mommy is making a Christmas stocking again.

今年も後２ヶ月？早いなあ〜

It's another two months this year. Time flies.

速攻で quick work

先週サンフランシスコで行ったワークショップ

第２弾のクリスマス向けを依頼されました。

Mommy got request of Christmas quilt workshop at SF.

日にちがないので急いで作品見本を用意しています。

There is not enough time,

mommy has to make a sample soon.

マミィは朝からキルトのワークショップのボランティアへ

まだ小さい赤ちゃんを持つお母さんのために

ベビィーシッター付きの”ママ友de広場” 

Mommy volunteered at "Mama Tomo de Hiroba "

it's the event for mother who struggles for baby care.

今回はハロウィーンシーズンらしいポットホルダー

Today's quilt is pumpkin pot holder.

普段は赤ちゃんから目が離せないママさんにとって

少しでも自分の時間を持つことができるのはとても良いことです。

Mommy thought this is very good opportunity for mothers 

who are not able to have their own time.

There are baby sitters, and mothers can concentrate their quilting.

マミィも協力することができて良かったです。

Mommy was glad to be able to cooperate this.
