しばらくの間、今日のイベントの準備に追われ

忙しくしていたマミィですが

Mommy was busy with preparation for the event "sjDANCE @Santana Row"

ついに当日を迎えました。

朝一番からボランティアでステージ設置のお手伝いをし

The day came today.

Mommy helped the stage setting in the morning.

いよいよ本番！

６０グループ以上が出場するなか、

フラでの参加はマミィ達のグループだけだったので

かなり反響も良く、色んな人が「素敵だった！」と声をかけに来てくれました。

皆も楽しめたようで責任者のマミィも一安心です！

Because hula group is only mommy's in more than 60 participants,

the reaction was very good, and other participants and audiences came to say "awesome!"

Also, members really enjoyed performance.

Mommy who is a person in charge, was able to breath again.

初イベントin SF

サンフランシスコのゴールデンゲートパークで行われたイベントに

マミィが参加するので

土曜日にレアは下見に行きました。

Mommy attends the event that is held at Golden gate park in San Francisco.

On Saturday, Lea went to there for preliminary inspection.

今日はマミィがキルトや小物を販売したり、

フラグループでパフォーマンスも行いました。

Mommy sold her quilting works,

and danced hula with her hula group today.

今回のイベントのため、販売品はもちろん、衣装やアクセサリーを製作し

フラの振り付け、練習のリード、そしてイベントへのアレンジなど

マミィはちょっと頑張りました。

会場までの送り迎えやビデオ撮影をヘルプしたダディーもお疲れ様でした。

For this event, mommy made a lot of sale products, prepared hula costumes & accessories,

choreographed new hula, practiced with other members, 

and exchanged email with the organizer.

Daddy also helped a lot for mommy.

Good job, everybody!

挑戦！ mommy's challenge

マミィはフラのコンペに参加するためオーランドへ行きました。

Mommy went to Orland, FL for participate in competition of hula.

友達との再会、リハーサル、そして本番と慌ただしかったのですが

とにかく楽しんで踊る事ができたので良かったよかった。

Mommy could enjoy her hula, and 

she was so happy to meet her friends again.

お留守番のレアはマミィがいつ帰ってくるのかと心配で

リビングで寝ていたそう。。。。

Lea worried about mommy and was waiting on the side of the door.

来年は。。。 Miss. Aloha

長い1日 long day

朝から夜のコンサートまで

マミィは長ーい1日を過ごしました。

Mommy spent a long day from morning to the night concert.

レアはマミィがいつ帰ってくるのか待ち続け

今日も長ーい1日を終えました。。。。

Lea waited for returning of mommy and finished a long day.

一人旅 travel alone

今日から３日間マミィはフロリダへ

Mommy visited Florida alone this weekend.

友人主催のウクレレフェスティバルに参加。

Her friend holds Ukulele Festival, and she attends it.

そして宿泊先はホテルではなくお友達の家

She stays at her friend's house, such a pretty and comfy room, it looks like a hotel.

ダディとボーイズは近所の日本食で夕飯だそうです。

How about daddy & boys?

They never cook.

They ate a dinner at Japanese restaurant near house.

お手伝い charity hula

今朝、早くからロサンジェルスに向け出発

UCLA 校内にある日本庭園のボランティアをしている友人に頼まれ

マミィはチャリティーフラを行いました。

司会はプロのトニーさん

The family went to LA early this morning,

because mommy helped charity hula show at VA Japanese garden

where mommy's friend volunteers.

with MC Tony.

募金を集めるためにマミィが用意した景品のアロハ楊枝

これからも定期的に行いたいそうですが、

ちょっと遠いのでマミィがお手伝いするのはちょっと難しいかな？

Mommy made giveaway for collecting donation.

The volunteers are going to held some show on a regular basis from now on.

However, mommy is not able to help it every time,

because this place is not near her.

ルナちゃん所にお停まりしているレアはかなりくつろげるようになったようです。

Lea became to be able to relax at Luna's house.

感謝、感謝 see you soon

二日間開催のホイケは日曜日で終わり

マミィも友人達との再会を約束しお別れしました。

今度はいつ会えるのでしょう

とても短い時間でしたが、今まで以上に話をし、理解し合い

夜中までフラをして、忘れがたい時間を過ごす事が出来ました。

この出会いに感謝。

Sunday, Ho'ike finished.

Mommy promised to meet her friends soon again.....

this time was very short stay but mommy was able to spend happy time.

Mommy shared a lot of stories and feelings, hula together until midnight,

and promoted bounding with her special person.

月曜日、昼過ぎのフライトでカリフォルニアへ。

飛行機が遅れサンホゼ空港についたときにはもうすぐ日が沈む時刻。

あっという間だったけど充実した時間を過ごす事が出来

マミィは家族に感謝。

Monday, mommy flew back to California.

Her flight delayed a little, and arrived the time of sunset.

Mommy thank the family for having such fulfilling days.

本番！ on the stage

ホイケ一日目。

マミィはコンペティションを見ながらお手伝い

たくさん作ったフラドールを置いてもらいました。

The first day of Ho'ike

Mommy sat at this table with friends.

She made these hula dolls.

夕方、コンサートのためにステージメークをバッチリ

今回使った髪飾りは、マミィが作って用意したもの

Preparation for concert.

Mommy wore stage make-up.
These hairpieces were prepared by mommy.

本番ではあまり緊張せずに踊れました。

Mommy could perform with less stress.

レアはダディにお風呂に入れてもらって

はしゃいでいるらしい。。。。

Lea took a bath and yelp with delight as usual.

初めての missing mom

今日からマミィはフラのイベントに参加するために

フロリダのオーランドへ、初の一人旅。

乗り継ぎのダラス空港で、ハイビスカスジュースを発見。

カンクンで飲んで以来一年ぶり。やっぱりおいしい。

Mommy flew all the way across the country to join the hula event "Ho'ike"

at Orland, Florida.

This is the first time mommy makes a solo trip.

Because there's about one-hour layover in Dallas, she ate snack.

She found hibiscus juice one year to the day since she visited Cancun.

待っている間、前に座っていた親子

男の子２人が食べていたのは、ただの白いご飯。

お母さんだけがマクドナルドのチーズバーガーを食べていました。

？？？？

 Mother and two sons sat down and eat something.

Two boys were eating plain steamed rice,

only mother was eating a cheese burger of McDonalds.

そして、下の子が席を外した時。

ご飯の上に箸が。。。。日本人じゃないから仕方ないですけど。

When one boy left his seat, he put it.

This is not good manner in Japan, because 

there is custom Japanese offer a bowl of rice with sticked chopsticks 

before the tablet of the deceased.

Oh well...

夕方ホテルに到着！

久しぶりに友人達と再会し、夜は早速リハーサルです。

Late afternoon, mommy arrived at hotel,  had a reunion with old friends,

and had a rehearsal with band for tomorrow concert.

レアはいつマミィが帰ってくるのか

心配していたらしい。。。。

Lea really worried when mommy comes back home.

踊ってました。 dance is fun!

とっても久しぶりに青空の下でフラをした。

気分いい〜！！

もちろんレアもね。

Mommy danced hula under the blue sky after so long.

TERRIFIC!!

ボーイズの部屋を掃除しようと思ったら。。。彼女も踊ってた。

しかも二つの画面で.....(' ';)

Mommy entered the boys' room for vacuuming....... she was dancing with joy.

Besides, in two monitors.

最後は Thank you for everything

ボーイズがCypress bay high school へ行く最終日です.

テキストを返さないといけないので、レアは学校まで送って行きました。

お世話になりました。

Today was the last day that boys went to Cypress bay high school.

Lea brought them to school because they have to return heavy text books.

マミィは不用品をGoodwillに持って行き、その後フラの先生の家へ

数週間ほど前ケガをして入院し、まだ１００％回復していない彼女

こんな状況の時に力になれず、フロリダを離れるのは本当につらい事です。

次回のショーで使うための新しい振り付け見本と

最後に一曲自分のために踊って欲しいと言われ

やはりマミィが振り付けをしたMele Ohanaを踊りました。

最後は笑顔でと思っていたけど、仲間に声をあげて泣かれて。。。

ひどい顔で撮ってしまった。

Mammy brought unnessesary goods to Goodwill and went to hula teacher's house.

She got injury a few weeks ago and didn't recovery 100% yet.

It is so difficult for mommy that she cannot help her teacher at such a time.

Mommy showed them new choreography that they will perform next show.

The teacher asked mommy to dance hula for her.

Mommy danced "Mele Ohana" that mommy choreographed.

Mommy tried to keep smile but fellowships started to cry.....she couldn't to hold her tear.

家に戻り梱包したりまた不用品を運んだり

病院関係の最後の手続きなどなど。。。。

ボーイズの夕飯の準備をして、夜はMaikaiレストランへ

フラを通して築いた仲間達が集まってくれました。

皆でフラを踊り、クムはマミィのためにフラを

バンド仲間はマミィのために歌を歌ってくれました。

本当に良い仲間に出会えた事に感謝。

来年のHo'Ikeに一緒に参加する事を約束して。。。。

Aloha a hui hou

After mommy returned home, she went to Goodwill again,

packed up again and prepared dinner for boys.

After that, she went to Maikai restaurant where her friends waited for farewell party.

Mommy danced hula with hula sisters.

Kumu danced beautiful hula and singer sang heartwarming song for mommy.

Mommy promised them that she comes back Florida to join them next Ho'ike.
