ミュージアムへ Walt Disney Museum

今日はボーイズとマミィーはサンフランシスコへ行きました。

ゴールデンゲートブリッジ近くのプレシディオにある

ウォルトディズニーファミリーミュージアムへ

 Boys and mommy went to San Francisco.

They visited Walt Disney Family Museum.

２０１３年の映画「Saving Mr.Banks」を見てから、

行こうと言っていてなかなか行けなかったところ

中にはセル画やスケッチ、ミッキーにまつわるグッズなどが

たくさん展示されていました。

 After they watching the movie "Saving Mr. Banks" in 2013,

they wanted to visit here.

歴代のミッキーの腕時計たち

今や、Apple Watch でもその姿は受け継がれています。

There are many old watches with Mickey mouse.

Mommy also has Mickey's watch, but this is digital version.

最後の展示はディズニーランドに関するもの

ウォルトが思い描いた模型がありました。

 Last display is Disney land that Walt envisioned.

フロリダでは数え切れないほど足を運んだディズニーワールド

ウォルトはその完成を見ずにこの世を去ったのですが

後を兄のロイが引き継ぎ完成させたのです。

今でも多くの人に夢を与えるディズニーの素晴らしさを

改めて感じました。

The family went to Walt Disney World countlessly,

when they lived in Florida.

Walt was not able to see the completion of WDW.

His brother Roy led the company in continuing the project,

and completed it.

ミュージアムを後にして、帰りに立ち寄ったのは

上の子の学校の近くにあるショッピングモール

ここのインドカレーが美味しいよと連れて行ってくれました。

本格的！

Older boy brought mommy to this curry shop that is near his college.

delicious!

帰り道

山をすっぽり包むような雲か霧は

ちょっと不思議な景色。

でもこのエリアではあまり珍しくない現象です。

上の子の運転で、ちょっとしたお出かけを楽しみました。

Mommy enjoyed outing by older boy's driving.

オープンハウス open house

今日は上の子が入学を決めた大学のオープンハウスへ行きました。

The family went to the open house of the university that 

older son goes to after summer.

大学の構内は大きくてまるで小さな街みたいだねと下の子

寮もキャンパス内にあり、生活と学びが一体化しています。

The campus looks like a small town.

その後、チャイナタウンまで足をのばし飲茶を食べました。

香港を思い出すような町並み。

After guidance, they went to China town and ate dim sum.

The street remind them Hong Kong.

お留守番していたレアにはチャーシューパオのお土産だよ〜

Lea that waited at home, got a steam pork bum.

Lucky!

観光シーズンだった。 tourist season

この冬休みはどこにも旅行に行けないので

今日はサンフランシスコへちょこっとお出かけ。。。

さすが観光地、撮られ慣れてる鳥

The family is not going anywhere in this holiday.

They went to San Francisco today.

It's tourist spot, this bird loves camera.

ワインバーで３種のワインをテイスティング

マミィは味の違いがわかりませんでしたが。。。

Wine tasting at wine bar of Pier 39.

Mommy didn't figure out these difference.

オイスターもシュリンプも美味しくいただき、

レアもチャウダーのお裾分けで満足！

Oyster shoot, shrimp cocktail.....

Lea ate clam chowder, yummy!!

観光シーズンで街は大混雑。

渋滞していたので帰りは暗くなってしまいましたが

ベイブリッジがきれいでした。

Town is full with many tourists and cars.

Traffic jam was terrible, and it has become dark when they started home.

家に戻ったレアはすっかりお疲れの様子。

Lea must be tired.....

ダディもね。。。

daddy either.

今日は daddy's birthday!

今日はSFへ出かけました。

Walt Disney Family museum へ行こうと思ったので

レアは残念ながらお留守番。

お昼に到着したので、とりあえずJapan Center へランチに行くと

かなりの人でにぎわっていました。比較的すいていたSapporo-yaへ

The family went to San Francisco.

Lea had to stay at home, because they were going to go to Walt Disney Family Museum.

At first, they went for a lunch to Japan Town........so crowded,

and they picked Sapporo-ya because it was relatively empty compared with other restaurant.

自家製麺という事でちょっと期待したのに

おそらく、今までの中で一番まずいラーメンでした。。。

サーバーのおばさんの態度も今ひとつよくないし。

ボーイズは、日本食を知らない人が初めてこれを食べて

これが日本の食べ物なんだと思われるのが嫌だと言っていました。

全く同感！

The family were expecting because the restaurant serves home made noodle.

However, it was awful......the worst ramen ever!

The attitude of server was not good, too.

Boys said "It's too bad, if somebody who doesn't have experience to eat Japanese food,

eats this terrible ramen, he/she thinks it's really Japanese food."

Absolutely Agree!!

その後ミュージアムに向かったつもりが

住所検索したGoogle マップで出てきた場所が全く別の所。

結局そのままユニクロなんかでお買い物していたら

チケットクローズの時間になってしまったので今回は断念。

After that, they headed to museum, daddy googled the address,

but it's completely different place.....

They did some shopping around there, 

and got to the time for last entry.....

OK next time.

せっかくなのでツインピークスへ行きました。

ここはその昔、マミィがロス／サンフランシスコを一人旅した時

訪れたところ。。。なつかしい〜

冷たい強風が吹いていてすぐに退散。。。

They had come to San Francisco, they went to twin peaks.

When mommy was young, she visited there by herself.

It's windy, chilly......left there soon.

帰りにスタンフォードでいつものショートケーキを買いました。

そう、今日はダディの誕生日。

毎日忙しくご苦労様

健康に気をつけて素敵な一年になりますように

レアがケーキ食べるの手伝ってあげるねー

On the way home, stopped Stanford shopping center and got cakes,

because today is daddy's birthday.

"Thank you for hard working every day.

Hope this year brings you lots of happiness and good health.....so

I can help you to eat a cake!"

ついに来た！ finally came,

週末荷物が届くかもと思ったのですが、ムーバーから電話がありません。

今日は家族でサンフランシスコへ出かけました。

Lea was expecting to arrive their belongings this weekend,

but mover didn't call.

The family, of course Lea too, went to San Francisco today.

こんな人ごみの街を歩くのはレアは初めてかな？

でも通り過ぎに可愛い♡と言われ

It's first time for Lea to walk in the crowded city??

Many people who recognized Lea said "She is so cute!"

アップルストアーでは店員にも写真を撮られたレア。

At Apple store, an employee took Lea's photo.

ユニクロではボーイズの冬物を購入し

Boys got winter clothes at UNIQLO

ユニオンスクエアーで大きなクリスマスツリーをみました。

Lea took photos in front of the big Christmas tree at Union Square.

ピア３９まで足を伸ばして、ご飯を食べたり

アザラシを見たり。。。

レア、ついにサンフランシスコ上陸！

After that, Lea visited to Pier 39

Finally, Lea came to San Francisco!!
