先日行ったHollywood のマーケットで見つけた
トロピカルウォーターボールというもの。
Younger boy found this at the market of Hollywood the other day.
Tropical Water Ball.
小さいプラスティックの粒のようですが、これを説明書通りに水に入れます。
It looks like tiny plastic beads.
Following the instruction, mommy put them in the water.
ブルー、グリーン、クリアーの3袋を入れてみました。
5分ぐらいで小ぶりのイクラぐらいのサイズに 。。。
レアも興味深々。
Mommy put three bags, blue, green and clear.
After five minutes, it became small salmon caviar size.
Lea was interested.
15分経過。
キレイと言うより、なんだかカエルの卵みたいにグロテスク
後ろにいるレアも ちょっと・・・・あはは
After fifteen minutes, it is grotesque like frog eggs.
And........Look at Lea! Funny dog!
30分経つと水いっぱいになってしまいました。
説明書では、6時間程水につける。。。となっています。
この調子で膨れ上がったらどうなってしまうのでしょう？
After thirty minutes, water is full.
According to the instruction, you have to wait about six hours after soaking.
How big it will grow?
完成! ちょうどビー玉ぐらいの大きさになりました。
しかし、その量は・・・・
It grew the size of marbles,
and its volume .....
こんな大きなボールいっぱいに。。。
しまった、半分ずつぐらいで試してみれば良かった。。。。

Mommy should have tried half of each color.
とりあえず、一部ガラスの器に入れてみました。
どれどれ? とレア。
どれどれ? とレア。
何の匂いもしないし、触るとちょっとぷにゅぷにゅして少し弾みます。
Mommy put a portion of them into the vase.
It is no smell, feel like cold and soft, and bounce.
いくつかは、壊れてしまったのですが、
この物体なんか見おぼえがあります。。。。。
もしかして紙おむつの中身？
高分子吸収体と言われている高吸収性樹脂なのではないかと思います。

Mommy thought this is high-absorbent polymer.
この高吸水性樹脂は、現在、紙おむつだけではなく、
家庭用から産業用に幅広く利用されているそうです。
砂漠の土に混ぜることで水の蒸発を 防ぎ、植物を育てるという
砂漠の緑化技術への利用も研究されているとか。
実はすぐれものなんですね。
The high- absorbent resin is used in many ways,
in home, industry and medical care.
Mix this polymer with soil of the desert,
it prevent evaporation of water and grow a plant,
the usage of Greenery technology is studied.
This is very useful!
