9・11 Protect ourselves.

今日は朝から各地で9・11のセレモニーがおこなわれました。

TVではグランドゼロの追悼式典を放送。

遺族が次々と犠牲者の名前を読み上げていました。

9/11 ceremony was held in various regions from this morning.

TV broadcasted the ceremony of Grand Zero.

The bereaved read the name of the victims in sequence. 

崩壊したビルの跡地には犠牲者の名前が刻まれており、

集まった遺族や友人達が、その名前を指でなぞったり、紙に写し取ったり、

花を捧げている様子が映されていました。

The name of the victims are carved in the monument of Grand Zero.

Bereaved and friends who gathered trace the name with a finger,

 copy it to paper, and place flower.

飛行機が追突した時間には追悼のベルが鳴らされ、

アメージンググレースが演奏されると、皆涙をこぼしていました。

The bell was rung at the same time when the airplane crashed into the building,

when Amazing Grace was played, everybody hugged each other and cried.

2977人の犠牲者を出したあの日から10年

この惨事が起こったのはアメリカですが

国や宗教や人種など関係なく

世界中の人々が平穏に暮らせる世の中である事を強く願います。

みんなの命を守ろう。

Decade passed from that day when the 2,977 lives were lost.

This tragic incident happened in the U.S, but

regardless of nationality, religion and race,

we wish strongly that all of the people in the world are able to live a life of peace.
