あぶないあぶない。。almost get wet

夕方、 "ウッフ！" という声で振り向くと

レアが "散歩!" と訴えていました。

Mommy heard "Wuff!" behind,

Lea was demanding silently "It's time to walk!!"

雲が多く、暑くないのは助かるのですが、なんだか雲行きがあやしい。。。

The sky with many clouds, it's not hot anymore,

good for a walk,

but it seems to begin to rain.....

と思ったら、ちょうど折り返し地点でパラパラと来ました。

A few seconds later, it has begun to rain lightly at doggy post.

わ～大変降ってきたー!!

急がなきゃあ・・・走るレア!!

Oh, no!! It's rain.

Hurry!! ......Lea ran and ran.

家にたどり着いたときにはしっかりと雨が降り始め

When Lea arrived at home, 

fat drops of  rain has begun to fall.

家に入った途端、土砂降りになりました。。。。。

It became pouring as soon as Lea entered the house.

ずぶぬれにならずに良かったです。。。。あぶないあぶない。

Lea was going to almost get soaking wet ....phew～!!

めでたい！ Rosh Hashanah

今日学校はお休みでした。

ロシュハシャナというユダヤ教の新年だそうです。

決して全ての宗教の新年がお休みになるわけではないので、

ユダヤ教徒の割合がいかに多いかという事でしょう。

Boys' school was closed today because

today is Jewish new year, Rosh Hashanah.

A new year holiday of  all religion are not holiday at school,

  there are many Jewish people, aren't there?

ボーイズにとっては、単純に学校がお休みでラッキー。

Sawgrass Mills Mall にあるゲームワークスに遊びに行きました。

It's just lucky for boys to close classes.

They went to Game Room at Sawgrass Mills Mall.

Chuck E Cheeses, Boomers, Dave & Busters のようにアーケードゲームがあり、

チケットと景品を交換することが出来ます。

最近のボーイズのお目当ては日本製のＵＦＯキャッチャー

アメリカ式の３本クレーンではなく２本クレーンが良いのだそう。。。。

Boys want to play crane game, especially Japanese crane machine.

 Two claws are more difficult but the power of holding is stronger than three claws.

 

最近流行っている Angry Birds のキャラクター

The character of Angry Birds.

以前 Dave & Busters でチケット交換した物と

今日の戦利品で全種類そろったそうです。
めでたい！

 Boys already traded other characters for tickets at Dave & Busters,

they got all of kind at last.

今夜マミィはお友達に誘われてFontainebleau の Scarpetta　へ行きました。
一人で夜のお食事にお出かけなんて結婚以来初めてかも？です。
めでたい！

Tonight, mommy went for dinner to Scarpetta of Fontainebleau in Miami beach.





こちらのレストランはＮＹにもあるイタリアンレストランです。
ヘッドシェフのスコットコナントを有名にしたと言われる
トマトとバジルのスパゲティを頂きました。
トマトソースが甘くておいしかったのですが
太麺でボリュームがあり食べ切れませんでした。

 This restaurant is a brunch of the Italian restaurant in NY,
the head chef is Scott Connant on the TV show " Chopped".
Mommy ate the outstanding work "Tomato and basil spaghetti".
The pasta had nice flavor but was thicker than mommy expected. 
 The waiter was very knowledgeable and gave mommy and friends very good suggestions.
But it was a little noisy in the restaurant.




お店の名前 Scarpetta (スカルぺッタ)とは"靴"という名詞 scarpa に
-etta がついて"小さい靴"という意味だそうです。
またイタリア語で「皿に残ったソースや汁をパンで拭いて食べる」事を
 fare la scarpetta と言うのだそうです。
最後のソースも全部食べた～いぐらいおいしいお店という事なんでしょうか。
全体的に味付けが濃くあまりマミィの好みではありませんでした。

"Scarpetta" means small shoes.
Italian "far la scarpetta" means
"wipe a source and juice left in the plate with bread, and eat"

The meaning of the name of this restaurant.....

The restaurant is very good so that all the last sources want to eat it..??
However, all of the dishes were a little strong,
it's not mommy's cup of tea.

掃除の戦い easy cleaning

こちらは我が家にある掃除機各種。

左からダイソン、紙モップ、ハンディー掃除機、スチームモップ。

There are cleaners of Lea's house.
From left, Dyson, Swiffer sweeper, Shark hand Vac, Shark steam mop.

主婦ならだれでも一度は興味を持つ(かな？)ダイソンの掃除機

これでもかなり小型軽量タイプなのですが、それでも重いし小回りが利かない。

望まないのに、二の腕の筋力をアップさせながらやっと掃除を終わらせたあと

ホコリを発見した時はがっくり。。。。

All the housewives will be interested in the vacuum cleaner of Dyson.  

This is not flexible and heavy in spite of compact type.

Though mommy doesn't expect muscular strength up,
her upper arms are strengthened when she uses it.
In addition, when mommy found small dust after cleaning,
it's disappointed.....

髪の毛や糸くず、ほこりなどは紙モップの方が良い仕事をしてくれます。

でも、最後に小さなゴミ屑が必ず残り。。。もうっ!

マミィはいつも右手にモップ、左手に小型掃除機というスタイルで掃除をします。

The sweeper is better to catch hair, lint and dust than vacuum.
However, it can't catch sweeps completely......phew
Mommy always clean with sweeper on right hand and hand vacuum on left hand.

ところが、なぜかこの紙モップに戦いを挑んでくるレア。

右に左にモップと一緒に動きまわり、そして攻撃。

紙を外してしまいます。

Lea challenges a sweeper to a fight.
Lea moves to the left to the right and attacks it,
and she tear the cloth from it.

ダイソンの掃除機にはさすがに勝てないと思うらしく

逃げたり隠れたりするのですが。。。。

Lea thinks she can't possibly win to Dyson.
When mommy uses it, Lea is hiding.

最近、いい物を教えてもらいました～

紙モップを出しているSwiffer の Sweeper Vac です。

これは紙モップと掃除機が合体したもの。

掃除機の吸引力やゴミホルダーはもちろん小さいのですが

とても軽く、充電式なのでコードのうっとうしさもありません。

Mommy was reminded of a very useful thing.
It's a Swiffer Sweeper Vac.
It has a power-packed cordless vacuum sweeper for suctioning up crumbs,

combined with a Swiffer dry sweeping cloth.

ゴミが気になっ時にすぐに掃除することができ、とても便利。

一度の充電でささっと一通り我が家全体を掃除することができました。

なぜかレアもおとなしくしています。

どんな物でも Anything

ワンコご飯についてはドッグフードオンリー派、

手作りフード派など色々な意見がありますが

我が家はドッグフード＋α派

色々な意見を読んだり聞いたり、レアにも色々な物を試しましたが

今はドッグフードに、少し手を加えてあげています。

There are many opinions about dog food, someone say commercial products are the best,

someone say homemade food is the best....

At Lea's home, mommy is adding something a little to dog food.

ドッグフードだけだと、しぶしぶ食べていたレアも

ちょっと付け加えただけで、うれしそうにしっかりと食べてくれます。

やっぱり食事はおいしく頂くのがワンコだって一番なはず。

Lea ate commercial products reluctantly,

but now, Lea eats her food delightedly.

It is the best to eat the meal deliciously.

プラスするものは、鳥のささみやひき肉。白身のお魚 をレンチンした物。

何もない時はかつおぶしの時もあります。（猫か？）

どんな物でも一つ加わる事が大切なようです。

Things to add are not special, it is a chicken or fish that microwave,

It is important to add anything.

レンジの音を聞いたり、お肉の匂いがするとレアは様子を見に来ます。

今日もボーイズの好きな煮込みハンバーグを作っていたら

来ましたね～

When Lea heard the sound of microwave, or gets a sniff of meat,

she comes to kitchen.

When mommy was cooking stewed Hamburg, Lea came.

お腹がすいていたのか、何度も要求するので

用意しようと思ったら、フライ返しを足の上に落しました。。。イタタ

プラスティックのこんな軽い物なのに結構痛い!!

どんな物でも、落下物注意!!

Lea required  her meal many times,

mommy was going to prepare it in a hurry and dropped a spatula on her feet.....Ouch!

 This spatula is not heavy, but ow!

Caution! Any falling object.

延期。 postponement

ボーイズのゴールドツアーが始まりました。

初回の今日はBoca Raton Municipal Golf Course です。

The golf tournament of boys (GCJGF) started.

Today's course Boca Raton Municipal Golf Course.

ティータイムがお昼なのでとても暑い。

チェックインを済ませて とりあえず練習。

Tee time is around noon.

It's too hot!!

上の子は15歳から18歳のグループ。

なんとブラックティーからのプレイです。 プロ並み！！

緊張のティーショット。

The division of older boy is from 15 to 18 years old.

Surprisingly, they started from black tee!! It's like a pro.

下の子は13歳、14歳のグループ。

こちらはブルーティーからのプレイで、大人顔負け（それ以上）の飛距離です。

ちょっとラフからのセカンドショット。がんばれー

と思ったところで、ゴロゴロと雷の音。

すぐに”プワーン”と 中断の警報がなり、一斉にオフィシャルのカートが

コース上の子供たちを迎えに行きました。

Younger boy plays in  the division of 13 and 14 years old.

They started from blue tee!

Their tee shot distance are more than it of a common adult.

When younger boy hit the second shot, it's a thunder.

The officials picked players up as soon as the alarm was triggered.

30分程待機した後、１週間延期が決定されました。

「やったーもう１週間練習できる～」と下の子

本当かな～？？？？

After players waited about 30 minutes, 

the officials postponed the tournament for one week.

"Yes! I am able to practice one more week!" younger boy said.

 Does he really practice after school????

That's fishy.....

家に戻ると、レアはマミィにべったり

まるで猫のように膝の上からおりません。

After we returned home, 

Lea wanted to stay on mommy's lap....like a cat.

雨がやみそうにないので

お散歩も明日まで延期です。残念!

It looks like it's not going to stop raining.

The walking is postponed till tomorrow.

トーナメントは2週間の延期となりました。

いっぱい練習できるね～ボーイズ!!
