目的地 You arrive at destination......

レアの仕事の一つ、それはボーイズのお迎えです。

今日もお迎えに行ってきました。

ここは下の子の学校です。

Lea goes to pick boys up after school. It is Lea's job!!

This is a younger boy's school.

レアは車の中ではくつろいで座っているのですが、

ウインカーの「チッカ、チッカ」という音を聞くと

目的地に着いたことを察して外の様子をうかがいます。

Lea always relaxes and sits in the car...........

but when Lea hears the sound of blinker,she notices that she arrives at destination.

たくさんいる学生の中に下の子を見つけると、窓を「カチャカチャ」とやって出迎えます。

Lea finds younger boy from many students and gives him "welcome home" kiss!!

レアは少し遠出をする時も
フリーウェイを走っているときは、リラックスして寝ていますが

車のスピードの違いがわかるのか、フリーウェイを下りると
ムクッと起き上がり、外の様子をチェック。

 Lea is sleeping when she goes out a little far.

When the car reduces speed and gets out of free way, Lea looks outside.

そしてウィンカーの音を聞き、目的地のパーキングに到着すると

興奮して、落ち着かなくなります。

and....Lea is so exciting when she hears the sound of blinker and the car enters the parking lot.

初めて行く場所でも、パーキングに入ると「着いた?　着いた？」と言わんばかり。。。
危ないので、止まるまできちんと座っていてください。

.........even though, Lea visits there for the first time.
Please sit punctually Lea!! 

たとえすぐ近くでも、お出かけが大好きなレアです。

No matter how log the drive is,
Lea likes go out!!

雨ニモ負ケズ・・・・ Singin' in the Rain !!

昨日学校から戻ったボーイズは「明日学校がないかも。。。」と二人ともちょっとうれしそう。

Tropical Depression 16 がフロリダ半島を縦断するらしいということです。  

ところが、朝のニュースで「今日学校は通常通りです」と。。。ははは。。。残念でした。。。

このトロピカルディプレッションというのをはじめて聞いたのですが、

トロピカルストームといったい何が違うのでしょう。

Boys expected their school will close today.....

but it is opened as usual......HaHaHa......Sorry kids!!

   According to the morning news,  

   persistent rain storms have been drenching S.Florida since Tuesday afternoon, 

   because T.D. 16 moves into S.Florida. 

   All of S.Florida is under a flood watch until tonight.

I heard "Tropical depression" for the first time.

どちらも日本語では熱帯性低気圧のことですがその規模により分けられているようです。

そしてトロピカルストームになると名前が付けられます。

今日のT.D16 も お昼前にはT.S Nicole に変わりました。

What are the differences between tropical depression, tropical storm and hurricane?

They are classified based on their maximum sustained surface wind speeds in the system. 

                A tropical depression has sustained wind speeds of less than 39 mph (35 knots). 

                A tropical storm has sustained wind speeds from 39 to 73 mph.  

                Once it has reached this point, it is assigned a name.

                A hurricane has a sustained wind speed of at least 74 mph (65 knots). 

                All hurricane are named.

Tropical Depression 16 was upgraded to tropical storm(Nicole) status at 11 a.m., 

by the National Hurricane Center.

雨が降ると困るのはレアです。

大好きなお散歩に行くことができません。

レアは少々の雨は気にせず・・・モコモコなので地肌に雨が到達しないらしい。。。

そこで、先日レインコートを購入しました。

In the rainy day, Lea is sad.....

because Lea can not go for a walk that is her favorite activity.

Lea doesn't matter even if it's raining, 

because Lea has fluffy hair so she doesn't feel rain drops.

Mommy bought a raincoat for Lea.

基本的に、洋服を着るのもリボンをつけるのも好きなレア。

でも、これはちょっと様子が違います。

ちょっと素材がゴツイからでしょうか???

身動きしなくなってしまいました。
 

Basically, Lea likes to wear dress and ribbons.

What happen to you? 

Lea doesn't move.......

The fabric of raincoat may be stiff.

これを着れば雨でもお散歩に行けるよ～

いざ、お散歩となれば、さっきの微妙～な反応などどこへ・・・

大喜びで出かけるレアでした。

It's time to walk!

買い出し I like Japanese food!!

今日マミィは学校の帰り、日本食材の買い出しに行きました。

マイアミビーチ（Japan Market)と、フォートローダーデール（Japan Max)に

小さい日本食材のお店がありますが、

我が家からはどちらもフリーウェイを飛ばして小一時間かかるので

一回しか行ったことがありません。

いつも行くのはOriental Martという韓国系のお店です。

Mommy went to buy Japanese foods after school.
There are Japanese store in Miami beach (Japan Market)
and Fort Lauderdale (Japan Max)
However it does take about one hour to drive freeway from our home.
Mommy usually goes to Korean store(Oriental Mart).

昨日でお米を切らしてしまいました。。。。

ハワイや香港では玉錦や田牧米を使っていましたが

こちらで買い物をするようになってからは、

金米、こしひかり、日月-サンシャイン-のどれかを購入しています。

いずれも$24/15lb(6.8kg)

白飯にうるさい上の子も納得して食べています。

Mommy used to buy Tamanishiki or Tamaki rice in Hawaii and Hong Kong.
But now she uses Kinmai, Koshihikari or Sunshine.
Each rice taste good!

ごはんのお供として欠かせない納豆も色々な種類があります。

我が家では「おばさん納豆」と呼んでいる「おかめ納豆」が定番。

レアは日本では「ポケモン納豆」をよく食べていました。

ビールのお供の「干しカワハギ」はボーイズもレアも大好なおやつです。

They have many kind of Natto*.
Lea and boys like this Flam fish for snack!!

*Natto is a traditional Japanese food made from fermented soybeans, usually eaten with soy sauce and  mustard. Even among Japanese natto can be an acquired taste due to its distinct and strong smell and flavor and sticky consistency. Natto is known as healthy food and it is traditionally eaten with rice.

お菓子も韓国版「ベビースターラーメン」や「おっとっと」

もちろんLOTTEの商品（日本と同じではない）など購入することができます。

今日は日本のおせんべいも見つけて買ってきました。

レアが物色しに来ました。。。。

Lea came to check these snacks.
"These are my snacks, aren't these?"
Korean snack looks similar Japanese snack.
Today, mommy found Japanese rice cracker.

少しだけおすそ分けしてあげましょう。。。。

OK. You can eat a little bit!

カワハギもいただきます。

Lea and boys eat Flam fish too.

中国系スーパーも何件かありますが、

日本人にとっては韓国系の方が使い勝手がよく
お店のおじさんに「助かっています」と話して来たところです。

This store is mommy's favorite.
She got bottle of Japanese green tea.

今日の夕飯
さんまの塩焼き、明太子
いか入りおでん、チャプチェ、納豆
すべて今日購入したものです。
レアもボーイズもさんま大好き。
いただきます！！

Grilled fish、Karashimentaiko(spicy pollack roe)
Oden (fish cake in soup)with squid
Japchae(Korean food), Natto

All foodstuff was procured today.
Lea and boys really like Grilled fish!
Let's eat!!

はぁ～落ち着く。。。 fit me well.....

レアの居場所と言えば、常にマミィの居る所。

マミィのそばと言ってもどこでもいいわけではなく、レアの落ち着く場所がそれぞれあります。

Lea always stays with mommy.

There are places Lea likes in each room.

ファミリールームで新聞など読んでいるときはレアのベッドで。

When mommy read a newspaper, Lea is sleeping in her bed.

ＰＣのそばでは、隣のバスルームのシンクの中。

When mommy update her blog, Lea is sleeping in mommy's sink in the bathroom.

リビングルームではこのロッキングチェアーがお気に入り。

This rocking chair is Lea's favorite.

食事の支度をしているときは、マミィがキッチンに立っているのが見えるソファーのこの場所。

When mommy is in the kitchen, Lea is looking at mommy while she is sitting on the sofa.

ボーイズの部屋では、それぞれのベッドの下。

Each under the bed in the boys' room.

 

レアの部屋と呼ばれているマミィの仕事部屋では、このバスケットの中。

今日は海賊ごっこですか？ 

When mommy makes Hawaiian quilt, Lea is in the basket!!

Are you playing pirates today??

そして、夜寝る時は、ベッドの下。

それもマミィの寝ている下にいます。

And.....it's time to go to bed.....

Of course, Lea is sleeping under mommy exactly.

ここも結構好きです。。。。。

今日はダディの会社のファミリーピクニックで、マイアミ動物園へ。

レアは「行こう」と声をかけてもらえるか様子をうかがい、

マミィのバッグに入るチャンスを狙っています。

Today is a family picnic day of daddy's company.
We went to Miami Zoo.
Lea tried to enter the bag and go together.

レア～待っててね！。。。。。レアにとっては悲しい～言葉。。。。

ウルウル光線も効果なく、お留守番となりました。

Sorry Lea. You stay home today.
"...........I want to go......"

園内は思っていたよりも広く、動物の種類も豊富でした。

それぞれの動物の説明の看板には、

ほとんど「絶滅危惧種」と書かれているとボーイズが言っていました。 

みんな人間の責任ですね。

久しぶりの動物園を満喫後ピクニックエリアでランチをいただきました。

After we enjoyed the zoo, we got lunch in the picnic area with other families.







今日はちょっと盛りだくさん。
その後、ADRIENNE ARSHT CENTERに行き

PANDEMONIUMを観ました。

After that, we went to watch PANDEMONIUM at Adrienne Arsht Center.

これはSTOMPと同じクリエイターの作品です。

一年ほど前、STOMPを観に行き、とても感動したので、今日も楽しみに行きました。

感想は、STOMPが進化したというか、もっと洗練されたといった感じでしょうか。

STOMPは日常生活ではただの雑音でしかないその素材のままの音を使い

パフォーマンスで見事に聞かせ、見せてくれました。

PANDEMONIUMは、それぞれの素材に手を加え、楽器としてパフォーマンスしていました。

個人的にはSTOMPのほうがシンプルで迫力があり好きでした。

This is the performance of the same creators as STOMP.

We went to see STOMP last year and  it was impressive very much.

PANDEMONIUM looks like STOMP evolved.

STOMP uses the sound of materials what are noises of daily life.

However they changed the noises into perfect music.

PANDEMONIUM uses the things that the materials was changed into musical instruments.

Their performance was splendid  too.

Personally, we love STOMP because it was simple and powerful.

夕方家に戻ると、レアはいつものようにお出迎え。

やっぱりレアが一番かわいい!!
