昨日の新聞に、学校付近の道路にペイントされている
サインのスペルが間違っていたという記事がありました。
"SCHOOL"とペイントされなければいけないのが"SCOHOL"となっています。
Lea found this article of yesterday paper.
Just a block away from an elementary school,
subcontractors goofed and stenciled the pavement with the letters "scohol".
近所の人達は見つけた時「学校のスペルを間違えるとは。。」とあぜんとしたそう。
ステンシルが一文字ずつになっているための
うっかりミスだったというのですが。。。“学校”とい文字が台無しです。
The entire neighborhood was dumbfounded by the mistake.
"It's a school sign next to the school. Stupid"
The error may occurred because a single stencil containing the letters "H" and "O"
was accidentally painted backward.......???
すぐに直されて、今ではちゃんと"SCHOOL"と表示されています。ほっ！
The crew already fixed this sign.
見出しには "作業者は落第しちゃうよ！" とありますが
実は全く同じミスが2009年にもあったそうです。
The title of this article is
"Oops! Painters get failing grade"
Unfortunately, this is not the first time.
In 2009, a painter spelled the word the same way "scohol"
on the pavement in a school zone.
The worst place to mess up the word "school"? Near a school.
今日も一日雨模様の天気でレアはお出かけが出来ません。
ボーイズはゴルフの練習の後、中途半端な時間にお腹がすいてしまい
近くのPanda Express に寄りました。
We had rains the entire day today.
Lea was not able to go out.
Boys went to driving range for practice.
Because they were hungry around 4pm, they went to Panda Express.
ドアに "ハロウィンには12歳以下の子供だけがマスクをかぶって来てもいいよ"
という貼り紙がありました。
Mommy found this notice on the door.
"Due to security reason on Halloween day,
children under 12 years old are only allowed to wear a Face Mask inside the store"
覆面をかぶって銃口をむけ「お菓子をくれないとイタズラしちゃうよ 」ではなく
「お金をくれないと撃っちゃうよ」という事もあるのでしょうね。。。
It may occurred that a Mask guy point a gun and say
"Shot or Money!" instead of "Trick or Treat!"
子供たちにとってはお菓子をたくさんもらえる楽しい夜を
物騒な事件で台無しにして欲しくないですね。
As for children, Halloween night is the fun night that they can get a bunch of sweets.
Please don't mess up the fun night by dangerous crime.
それにしても雨は降り続き。。。。
Besides that, it continues to rain.
