運命 Adjustment Bureau

運命は変えられると思いますか？

若い頃、宿命は変えられないけれど、運命は変えられると思っていました。

ここで言う宿命とは、自分の生まれ持った血筋や容姿などの事で

運命とは自分が死ぬまでに歩んで行く道の事です。

運命は変えると言うより自分で造って行く物かな～と。。。

でもその反面、出来る限りの事をやったら、その先は成るようにしか成らず

力で事を無理矢理変えようとしても結果を生まない、

または悪くするとも思っていました。

Do you think you can change your destiny?

Mommy thought ....

you cannot change your fate, what someone's born with, like blood or outlook,

but you can change a predetermined path.

On the other side, 

if you do your best, whatever happens is going to happen.

Even if you want to change forcibly, you cannot get any good results,

or it makes the result worse.

そんな事を久しぶりに考えるキッカケを作ってくれたのが、

"Adjustment Bureau"という映画です。

After mommy watched DVD "Adjustment Bureau",

she thought about destiny after so long.

この映画は偶然出会った女性(エリース)と恋に落ちる事で

決められた運命からそれて行く主人公(デイビット)が

元の運命に戻るようにAdjustment Bureauに何度調整されても

自由意思を貫き通し、運命を書き直させてしまうという話です。

David who try to twist on fate because he falls in love with Elise,

realize free will and he fights members of Adjustment Bureau,

and then he lets the chairman rewrite his fate.

映画の最後で語られます。

多くの人はチャレンジする事を怖れて、自分の決められた運命を生きて行く。

でも、自由意思を認識した人は天質であり、

困難に立ち向うまで,その能力に気付くことはない。

チェアマン（おそらく神の事）が本当になすべき事は、

人々の運命を定める事では無く、その自由意思を気付かせる事かもしれない。

This is the last line of this movie.

「Most people live life on the path we set for them. 

Too afraid to explore any other.

But once in a while people like you come along and 

knock down all the obstacles we put in your way.

People who realize free will is a gift, you'll never know how to use until you fight for it.

I think that's The Chairman's real plan.」

 "We" is members of Adjustment Bureau, "you" is David, and 

The Chairman may be God.

Dramatic encounter.

恋に落ち

Fall in love.

そして別れもある

Dumping him.
