復活!! jump start !!

マミィは風邪を治そうと週末は出来るだけ体を休めたのですが

咳がひどくなり、今日もおとなしくしていました。

午後、いつもどおりにボーイズのお迎えに行こうと

レアと一緒に車に乗り込み、エンジンを掛けると。。。。掛からない。

どうやら、バッテリーがあがってしまったようです。

Mommy took a rest to cure a cold this weekends, but

mommy's cough became terrible today, so she was taking a rest until early afternoon.

When mommy and Lea were going to pick younger boy up, 

the engine of her car didn't start. 

The battery looked dead.

とりあえず、ボーイズはお友達ママに頼んで連れてきてもらいました。

運の悪いことに、今日からダディはエクアドルに出張。。。

Younger boy asked the mother of his friend to bring his home.

Unfortunately, daddy has gone to Ecuador by a business trip from today.

頼れるお友達が色々アドバイスをくれたので本当に助かりました。

まず、業者を呼んで、バッテリーをチャージ。＄６５!!

マミィが見てもバッテリー交換が必要なのは一目瞭然だったので、

そのままFire stoneへ持っていきバッテリー交換。＄１５０!!

Mommy's friend gave an advice that was very helpful.

Mommy called towing company and asked to jump start. $65!!

Next, mommy brought the car to nearest detail shop "Fire Stone"

and asked to change the battery. $150!!

この騒ぎで、マミィは活を入れられ風邪もすっとんでしまいました～

とりあえず、大事にならず良かったです!!

This happening gave mommy jump start.

Her cold had gone somewhere............

Anyway, it was good not become serious.

休憩 catch a cold.

昨日から風邪気味だったマミィ。

熱はないけど、鼻風邪です。どうやらボーイズの風邪をもらったかな？？？

今日は早めにお休みさせてもらいましょう。。。。

Mommy is down today.

Mommy may catch boys' cold....

" This is not a new hat!! I don't have a fever. Don't worry..."

遊んで!! Appeal !!

夜、マミィが一通りその日するべきことが終わり

メールチェックやブログの更新のためＰＣに座っていると

必ず、やってくるのです。。。。レアが。

Mommy finished her job that she has to do on the day,

Lea comes to mommy when mommy sits on the desk
to check e-mails and update this blog.

何故かとてもうれしそうに。。。

”さあ！遊びましょう！”と言わんばかりの顔で。

Lea looks so happy......

"It's playtime !! Let's play!!"

でも構ってばかりだと、マミィは何もできなくなるので

ちょっと知らん顔をしていると。。。。。

普段とても無口??　なレアが一生懸命,自分の存在をアピールします。

ちょっと遊んであげて、また作業に戻るマミィに

このような事をして気を引こうとします。

音を立てれば振り向くということがわかっているからですね。

However, mommy continues working on her pc......

Lea appeals to mommy for her existence although Lea is normally quiet.

Mommy gets back to work after she played with Lea for a while.....

Lea makes a noise because Lea knows it works to get her attention.

何度もトライしたレア。

あらら。。。。

Lea tried it several time.

Oops......

条例変更 Dog law

先月、他のペットを襲って死なせてしまった犬たちの処分について

ブログに書きました。

特に Broward county の条例が厳しいとの理由で、変更が検討されるということでしたが

今日のニュースや新聞で変更された条例が発表されました。

Last month, mommy wrote down about dog law in this blog.

The ordinance of Broward is strict, so commissioner considered the change of dog law.

Broward revises the dog law.

変更によって、攻撃した犬はセカンドチャンスを与えられるようになりました。

しかし、二度目の攻撃をした場合または人を襲った場合には、

即刻　”危険犬”　として指定されマイクロチップを埋めなければなりません。

また、飼い主の対応次第では、安楽死の道は免れないようです。

Dogs will now get second chance before euthanasia.

However, a second attack would  lead to a "dangerous" designation,
and another set of requirements,

including having the dog implanted with microchip.

Just one attack on a human makes a dog eligible for the dangerous dog designation.

If the owner doesn't comply with many requirements, or it attacks again, 

the county could take the dog and euthanize it.

ペットを飼うということは、きちんとした責任を負うということ。

ルールやマナーを守るこはもちろん

飼い主がペットをきちんと管理すことはとても大切なことです。

It is the owner's responsibility to observe the rule or manner and 

also to control own pet.

我が家の定番 Our regular product

ボーイズが幼少の頃から、ずっと今でも我が家に欠かさずにある物

それは。。。。。

冷蔵庫の中に必ず入っている、Capri-Sun というドリンクです。

実際には20種類近くのテイストがあるようですが、今日もこれだけそろっていました。

From when boys were small, something that there is always in our home......

is a juice "Capri-sun" in the refrigerator.

Mommy found these flavor in our fridge today.

定番になったのはハワイにいた頃

一つは凍らせたものをアイスパック代わりにして

出先でボーイズが飲めるように 、いつも持ち歩いていました。

It became our regular product when we lived in Hawaii.

Mommy always froze one pack and used it as an ice pack

and brought some packs with it for boys to be able to drink anytime. 

香港では、オリジナルのCapuri-Sonne を愛飲。

アメリカ製とはフレーバーが違い、特にアイスティーはボーイズのお気に入りでした。

アメリカ製品を販売している店( Gateway)では、Capri-Sun も購入できたので

ボーイズは、香港時代本当に良く飲んでいました。

When we lived in Hong Kong, boys used to drink "Capri-Sonne"

The flavor of "Capri-Sonne" is different from them that made in U.S.

Boys liked iced tea.

Mommy also bought "Capri- Sun" at the store 「gateway」

that imports American products and sell it.

Capri-Sonne はドイツの会社WILDが1960年代に開発した商品で、

アメリカでは1981年からクラフトフーズが販売しています。

日本でも、1980年江崎グリコが販売を開始しましたが89年に販売終了。

松田聖子の「カプリソーネ、おいしソーネ」というＣＭを覚えていらっしゃる方もいるのでは？

Capri Sonne is a brand of juice concentrate drink owned by the German Company WILD.

It was developed in 1966 in Germany. 

Capri Sun has been distributed in the U.S. since 1981 by Kraft foods.

In Japan, it was sold by Ezaki Glico in 1980,and sale was finished in 1989.

今でも、遠出するときには必ずクーラーに

凍らせたものをいくつか混ぜて持っていきます。

行きも帰りも冷たい飲み物が飲めます。

Even now, we bring them with frozen one when we go for a long drive.

今日マミィが家に戻ると。。。。このような状態に。

Today, mommy went back home......look at that!

以前、開いている箱から取り出して

がちがち…ペロペロという事はあったのですが

まさか箱を開けようとするとは。。。。ガッツあるなあ～

”我が家の定番! レアも飲みたかったの!”

緑の英雄 Green Hornet & Yogi Bear

今日はBroward County の学校がお休みだったので

ボーイズは映画"Green Hornet" を観に行きました。

The school of Broward county closed today.

Boys went to the movie "Green Hornet"

グリーンホーネットはマスクをした自警団として

アメリカのラジオ番組（1936～52）、ＴＶ番組（1966～77）

そしてコミックにもなっています。

ＴＶシリーズではKATO役でブルース・リー が出演し、多くのファンを作りました。

今回の映画でも、KATO のスケッチにブルース・リーが登場します。

The Green Hornet is an American masked vigilante.

Radio series (1936-52), TV series (1966-77) and it also was made comics.

Bruce Lee appeared on TV series as KATO, and he became very popular.

The sketch of Bruce Lee that KATO drew, appeared on this movie.

90年代から何度か映画化の話が上がっていたようで、

KATO 役にジェット・リーという話もあったそう。

また今回の映画では、少林サッカーでおなじみの

香港俳優チャウ・シンチーの予定が、結局降板。

どちらのKATOも観たかったような気がします。

A film version of the character has been contemplated since the 1990s,

Jet Li was set to play the Kato role. 

In this movie, 

initially Stephan Chow as director and also playing the role of KATO,

later Chow left the movie.

グリーンホーネットの車「ブラックビューティ」のカーアクションは見応えがあり。

冷酷な悪役もちょっと笑えるアクションコメディーで、単純に楽しめる映画だと思います。

The car action was spectacular.

This movie is action comedy that you can lough the cold-blooded villain a little bit.

It's fun movie!!

グリーンのスーツとネクタイの ”グリーンホーネット”

グリーンの帽子とネクタイといえば ”YOGIベアー”

こちらも今映画が公開されており、先週観てきました。

Speaking of Green suits and necktie .......Green Hornet.

Speaking of Green hat and necktie.........Yogi Bear.

This movie is already released, boys watched it last week too.

CGのYOGI と実写を組み合わせた映画でしたが

映像的には、2002年の "Scooby doo" を見たときのような感動もなく

ストーリー展開も非常に良くあるパターンで今一つでした。

ボーイズは、映画にするような内容ではなかった。と言っていました。

This movie is combined the computer graphics of Yogi Bear and live-action.

 For a picture, there was not an impression when we watched "Scooby doo" in 2002.

The story development was a very common pattern and was not good enough.

Boys said " It is not the contents that makes a movie."

I'm smarter than average dog!

やってくれました。 did it again!!

お散歩の途中

いつものレイクで休憩していました。

いい天気だね～なんて。。。。。

When Lea and mommy went for a walk........

they were taking a rest beside of the lake....."It's a beautiful day!"

水鳥もいたけれど、レアものんびり座っていました。

Lea sat leisurely......there were waterfowls ......but Lea didn't care....

ところが急に水鳥のもとへ走りだし

そのままボチャン！

However, Lea jumped into the waterfowls suddenly, and went into the lake!!

あわてて引きずり出したところ

このような姿に。。。。

Mommy pulled Lea from the lake soon.......

What the heck!!

レアはそのまま抱っこされた状態で家に帰り

バスルームに直行です!!

Lea went back home in mommy's arm.

........and went straight to bathroom....of course!!

。。。。。まったく。。。。。

でも、レアのこの幸せそうな顔を見たら。。。。

...sigh.....but...

What a happy face!!

我が家のおてんば娘にはまいりました。

Tomboy Lea has a lot of pep today, too!!

密集しています。 crowd

今日は下の子は歯列矯正の歯医者に行きました。

Younger boy went to orthodontics dentist.

上あごが狭くスペースがないので、歯が密集している状態です。

幸い歯を抜く必要はないようですが、1年半～2年程かかるそう。

もちろん保険は効かないので、トータル＄5000～＄5400。

次回の検診後にマミィがスケジュールや支払いについて話しを詰める予定です。

一人で。。。英語で。。。。はあ～これも厳しいです。

Younger boy's teeth crowd because his upper jaw is small, no more space.

Fortunately, he doesn't need to pull out any teeth
but he need braces for 18 months to 24 months.

No dental insurance....... total $5000～$5400 !!

After next exam, mommy has to discuss about schedule and payment

......alone....by English...so hard!!

レアは歯は問題ありませんが

最近毛が伸びてきて、すっかりモコモコ状態です。

毛がこれでもか！っていうぐらい密集しています。

Lea doesn't have a problem of the tooth.

Recently, Lea's hair grows and crowds...........her body is so fluffy.

お尻もすっかりまん丸です。

Lea's hip is round and chubby.

このままでは、太ったというレッテルを張られますよ!

グルーミングの予約を取りましょう。

こちらは、一日でトータル＄50です。

"Everybody said to me I gained weight.  No, I didn't!! "

OK, you need an appointment for grooming.

It is total $ 50 !!

嫌いだった植物。。。。。Blue Agave

今週ダディはメキシコからブラジルと出張でいません。

そうなると。。。どうしてもお夕飯が手抜きになります。

クリームシチュウーにロコモコ。

そして今夜はこれでした。

Daddy went to Mexico and Brazil this week.

Mommy prepared easy dishes for boys dinner.

Cream stew, Loco Moco....and today....

Salmon meuniere with hash brown and cream spinach.

Strawberry smoothie.

上の子がここ数日、若干風邪気味なので

ビタミンＣを取るようにスムージーを作りました。

日本のイチゴのように甘くないので、今日はAGAVEで甘みを加えました。

Older boy has a slight cold.

Mommy want him to take a lot of Vitamin C and made smoothie.

Mommy used AGAVE to add sweetness.

AGAVE （竜舌蘭）は200種以上知られてる植物です。

メキシコを中心に米国南西部と中南米に自生するほか、

食用などにも栽培されています。

テキーラもAGAVEから作られます。

以前住んでいた家にも植わっていましたが

葉の先はとても鋭くて縁にもとげがあり、

ボーイズのバスケットボールに穴があくほど鋭く

けがをしたこともあるので、とても嫌でした。

AGAVE is a plant known  more than 200 kinds.

It grows wild in Mexico, South west America, and Latin America

and it is cultivated in food.

The tequila is made from AGAVE too.

It was planted in the house where we lived in last year.

The point of the leaf is very sharp 

and there are many stings on the edge of the leaf.

It was very sharp so as to tear a hole in boys' basketball.

Mommy got a cut, so she hated it.

しかし、メキシコのネイティブアメリカンは

酒やシロップ以外にも

石鹸、ペン、釘、針、織物用の糸、燃料、屋根材、建築材など

さまざまな物としてAGAVE を利用していたそうです。

However, Native American in Mexico used AGAVE to various things

Tequila, syrup.......soap, pen, nail, needle, coal, roof cover, building material.......etc

すごい植物ですね。

AGAVE is good at everything.
