今日は下の子がボランティアに行きました。
アメリカではボランティア活動は至極当然の事。
子供から老人まで、皆が出来ることを行っています。
そして学生たちにとっては、卒業や進学のためには必須単位です。
Younger boy volunteered today.
In Japan, a volunteer is not more common than the U.S.
In U.S.A, the volunteer is one of the necessary units for students.
今までも何度か参加したことのあるF.R.I.E.N.D.S. Ranch へ行きました。
このランチで飼育されている馬たちは”馬伝染性貧血”の抗体を持っているため
隔離されていますが馬自体は病気ではなく、この病気も人には移りません。
ボランティアは、馬小屋の清掃やブラッシング等の手伝いをしながら
人と馬のつながりを体験することが出来ます。
Younger boy went F.R.I.E.N.D.S. Ranch.
These horses reside on this property due to antibodies
they carry in their bloodstream called "Equine Infectious Anemia".
This disease does not affect humans and the horses are not sick
but they are quarantined and cannot be taken from the property.
Volunteers help cleaning stall, brushing....etc.
This ranch gives a good opportunity
to experience the friendship of a person and the horse.
お手伝いを終えた下の子をレアもお迎えに行きました。
一般道から舗装されていない道を入っていくと、ランチがあります。
Lea picked up younger boy who finished community service.
This path is not paved.
レアを見つけたヤギたちが、ゲートにやってきました。
The Goats found Lea and they came to the gate.

家に戻り、DVD "the social network" を観ました。
現在、世界中に6億人を超えるユーザーを持つ
世界最大のSNS facebook の設立者である
マークザックバーグの映画です。
After coming back home,
we watched DVD "the social network"
This is the movie of Mark Zuckerberg who is the founder of facebook that
has more than 600 million users, as of January 2011.
とにかく英語が早い!早い!
そもそも facebook が何なのか良くわかっていない
マミィにとって、話について行くのが大変でしたが
主演のジェシーアイゼンバーグの演技や、友人役のアンドリューガーフィールド
そして二役をこなしたアーミーハマーが良かったです。
今年の各映画賞もいくつも受賞しています。
Anyway, the English speed that Zuckerberg speaks is very fast.
Mommy doesn't understand what facebook is....
it was so hard to follow the story.
A performance of Jesse Eisenberg was awesome.
Andrew Girfild in the person of friend Eduarudo and
Armie Hammer in the twins, are good-acted.
This film won the award for Best Motion Picture (Drama)
at the 68th Golden Globe Awards tonight.
This also won the award for Best Director, Best Screenplay, and Best Original Score.
