今日はピクサーの最新映画「Brave」を観に行きました。
Toy Story をはじめピクサーファンのボーイズ
トレイラーを見てからずっと楽しみにしていました。
Boys went to the movie "Brave"
Boys are big fan of Pixar's movie.
ピクサー初の女性の主人公ですが
決してお姫様物語ではありません。
BRAVE is Pixar's first feature with a female main character,
and Merida isn't stereotype princess.
古代のスコットランド王国が舞台です。
王女に反発する主人公のメリンダが "will o' the wisp"という
伝説の生き物に導かれ、魔女と遭遇します。
そこで”王女の気持ちを変えるケーキ”を作ってもらうのですが
王女の心は変わらない上、大きなクマに変身してしまいます。
メリンダがその呪いを解かなければなりません。
Brought up in the Scottish kingdom of DunBroch,
Merida rebels against her regal mother, and runs away to the forest.
Following a "will o' the wisp", Merida encounters a witch
who conjures a magical cake to "change the queen."
But when the queen
eats the magical treat, it's not her mind that changes,
she transforms into a giant black bear.
Merida must find out how to break the spell before her mother
stays a bear forever
or, is killed by the king and his men.
アニメーションはとても美しく
特にメリンダの特徴でもある赤毛の動きや
背景の美しさは本当に素晴らしかったです。
The animation is breathtaking -- particularly Merida's blazing red curls,
the beauty of the background is really splendid.
この映画のメッセージは家族の絆、家族の会話の大切さです。
ストーリーはとてもシンプルで 素晴らしいのですが
ピクサーらしい「今まで無かった！」というものではありません。
エンドクレジットで”ジョブズ氏に捧げる”と出てきましたが
天国の彼の評価はどうだったでしょうか？
This film has a strong message about family relationships
and open communication between parents and kids
The story is simple
and sweet
but not
"never
seen
before"
like other Pixar's movie, Toy Story, Monsters INC......etc.
The line "Dedicate this film to Steve Jobs" was appeared in end title roll.
How about his evaluation of heaven?
本編前の短編映画も楽しみの一つなのですが
こちらも。。。う～ん
The short film was a pleasure, too,
but was not good enough....
