昨日からのブラッシュファイアーが続き

西からの風に流された煙で

今朝は、とてもスモーキーな朝となりましたが

午後には東からの風に変わり、すっかり良い天気。

主演のコリンファースがアカデミー主演男優賞をとった映画です。

現王女エリザベスのパパであるキングジョージ6世の実話です。

This is the true story about King George VI who is the father of Queen Elizabeth II.

吃音障害に悩み、本来は王位を継承しない立場だったジョージが

最後に見事な演説をするという話。

言語聴覚士のライオネルとの訓練はコミカルで

コリンファースとジェフリーラッシュの共演ならではだったと思います。

The scene of Lionel's training was comical.
It is a movie made Colin Firth and Geoffrey Rush work together.

演説を終えたジョージにライオネルが賛辞の言葉と一緒に

まだWの発音がおかしかったと告げると

ジョージは「わざとだよ、私だとわかるようにね」と答えます。

この余裕。ジョージがまさに王となったのだと感じさせてくれました。

After King George finished speech, Lionel said

「You still stammered on the "W"」

「Had to throw in a few so they knew it was me.」

King replied.
