This weekend was Presidents day.
Presidents day is a United States federal holiday
celebrated on the third Monday of February
3連休なので、恒例のオーランドへ。
残念ながら、レアはお留守番です。
マミィがパッキングしているのを、ちょっとふてくされながら見ていました。
ごめんねレア。オズワルドおじさんが来てくれるからね。。。。
We went to Orland......Lea has to stay at home....
Lea was looking what mommy packed, while sulking.
Sorry Lea! Oswald will come to take care of you!!.....
お昼前にエプコットに到着。
まず、テストトラックのファストパスを取り
ワールドショーケースをのんびりと見て回りました。
マイアミでは見られない、春のお花がたくさん咲いています。
ピンクの花満開のこの木はまるで桜が咲いているようでした。
We arrived at Epcot before noon.
At first, we got first pass of Test track and went to World Showcase.
There are many kind of spring flowers that you can't see in Miami.
The tree that is in pink flower, looks cherry blossom.
いつも立ち寄るメキシコ館を今日はパスして
ノルウェイ館のアトラクションを観ました。
We passed Mexico pavilion that we always visit, and
watched Norway pavilion today.
これはノルウェイのスターヴ教会(Stavkirke) という木造教会を模したものです。
1050年前後に、ヨーロッパ各地に1000棟以上の木造教会が建てられたそうですが
現在28棟がノルウェイだけに残っているそうです。
クリスチャンのシンボルとヴァイキングの象徴がミックスされた
ドラゴンヘッドのデザインは特徴的です。
The Norwegians built the first Stave Churches(Stavkirke), around the year 1050.
Other European countries built wooden churches but only Norway's are still standing.
Of the 1,000 Norwegian Stave churches built, 28 survive today.
They blended Christian symbols with Viking images
to create these impressive buildings.
It is distinguishing that the wooden dragon heads decorating the eaves.
お昼はドイツ館でソーセージとビール。
Bratwurst または Frankfurter とsauerkraut, roll がついて$7。
Bratwurst がお勧めです。
We ate German sausage for lunch at Germany pavilion.
Bratwurst taste good!!
日本館前では太鼓の演奏が行われていました。
かき氷は色に反してシロップの味がしませんでした。。。。ペケ！
またまた、三越で日本のお菓子を購入しました。
You can see the performance of Taiko drum at Japan pavilion.
This shave ice had no taste.....not good.
We bought some Japanese snacks at Mitukoshi.
その後、フランス館、イギリス館などを見ました。
We went to France and England pavilions.
テストトラックに乗るため、歩いていると
空には次々とメッセージが。。。。
Some message were written in the sky!
Boys like Test track!!
今日のディナーはボードウォークのKouzzina by Cat Cora へ。
ここはアメリカ版鉄人シェフ、キャット・コーラ の Greek料理のお店です。
ボーイズが頼んだフィシャーマンズシチュー（ちょっと辛い）
そして、ラムシャンクはとろけるように煮込まれていてとてもおいしかったそう。
We went to Board walk for dinner, the restaurant is Kouzzina by Cat Cora.
This is the Greek restaurant of Cat Cora who is very famous as iron chef.
Younger boy ate Fisherman's Stew that taste good but a little bit spicy.
Older boy ate Slow-cooked Lamb Shank that meat was tender to melt.
さて、今回の宿はHoward Johnson Inn
WDWにも大変近く、必要最低限のアメニティもそろっており
お部屋もきれいでした。
ハイシーズン中の3連休にも関わらず、一部屋$35＋Tax.
グッドプライス!!
This time our accommodation was Howard Johnson Inn.
The rooms were clean, minimum amenity goods
and good location where is near to the WDW.
Even though three day weekend during a peak season,
one room cost only $35.
Good deal!!
