かいじゅ〜 Kaiju

この夏８本目の映画は「 パシフィックリム」です。

今回は奮発してXD3Dで観ました。

Boys watched the 8th movie "Pacific Rim" this summer in XD3D.

Kaiju と呼ばれる怪獣が太平洋に出現し、

人間がイエガーという巨大ロボットで戦う話です。

日本の特撮物を超ハイクオリティーにしたような映画です。

合体こそしませんがスーパー戦隊シリーズの巨大ロボットのよう。

パイロットの動きがそのままロボットの動きに伝わります。

Giant monsters “Kaiju” appear in Pacific 

and giant robotic machines “Jaegers” with humans inside beat it out.

This film looks like making Japanese special effect monster film super high quality.

The robotic machines look like the robot of Power Ranger.

真っ先に襲われる街はサンフランシスコ

そして基地があるのは香港と家族にはなじみの舞台設定でした。

おもいっきり破壊されます。。。。(- -;)

　The very beginning of movie, San Francisco was destroyed.

The base is in Hong Kong.

It is very familiar places for boys.

今作品はヒロイン役が日本人女優の菊池凛子

そしてその子供時代を演じたのが戸田愛菜なのですが

もっときちんと英語が話せる俳優を使った方が良かったと思う
と下の子は言っていました。

愛菜ちゃんの泣きの演技は日本一から世界一になるでしょうか？

確かに中途半端に日本語を使う必要があったのかなという感じもしましたが

デルトロ監督は幼少期からゴジラなど日本の怪獣が好きだったそうなので

一種のオマージュなのかもしれませんね。

 　　　　　　　　　　

 　　　　Rinko Kikuchi played heroine "Mako" and Mana Toda played as younger "Mako".

Younger boys said Rinko Kikuchi is not interesting actor,
and Japanese-American actress who can speak English properly should have been chosen.
Certainly, the small part of Japanese line was not necessary.

Guillermo del Toro loved Japanese Kaiju like "Godzilla" when he was a young.

This film may be a homage...?

一般評価はなかなか良いようですが

うーん。。。

怪獣物や戦隊ものが好きな人は楽しんでみれるのかな。

The general review seems good.....mmmm.

Mommy thought this film is underwhelming 

but people who likes Godzilla or Power Ranger may enjoy it.

 家で待っていたレア怪獣のほうが楽しい。。。

Kaiju Lea is more interesting.
