４日目はUpper Antelope へ
写真家も含め最もビジターが訪れるスロットキャニオンとして有名な場所
長い年月をかけて砂岩が水に浸食され完成したまさに自然の芸術です。
Day 4
Antelope Canyon is the most-visited and most-photographed slot canyon.
The Navajo name for Upper Antelope Canyon is Tsé bighánílíní,
which means "the place where water runs through rocks."
It's an art works which nature created indeed.
ここもナバホ族の居留地のため、個人で入って行く事は出来ません。
ナバホのガイドさんに連れて行ってもらいました。
入り口まで車の揺れは半端無いです。
It is located on Navajo land near Page, Arizona.
The car towards entrance of Upper Antelope was jumpy.
ガイドさんに岩や光の加減で見える美しい形を教えてもらいながら
細い渓谷を進んで行きます。
Navajo guide taught us the shape of the rock and beam of the light.
一旦開けたところまで出ると
砂と水を使って簡単な実験を見せてくれました。
瞬時に固まった砂。おもしろーい
The family came open place, and the guide show an experiment.
The sand got hard instantly, interesting!!
もう一度渓谷を引き返してツアーの終了。
この後、Bryce Canyon を目指し、再びユタへ入ります。
After the tour, the family toward Bryce Canyon went to Utah again.
当初、日程に組み込んでいなかったのですが
色んな人から一番のお勧めと言われ足を伸ばしてみる事にしました。
行って良かった〜！！！

At first, the family didn't schedule to visit there but
their friends really recommend.
It's worthwhile to visit!
Bryce point
時間があまりなかったのですが、Sunset Point のトレイルを少しだけ歩きました。
ディズニーランドのアトラクションみたいな光景が延々と続きます。
赤、オレンジ、白と岩の色が素晴らし景色を作ります。
標高2400 -2700mと高く、坂を上るのがキツイ！
They didn't have enough time,
mommy & boys walked a trail from Sunset point a little.
It looks an attraction of Disney land.
The red, orange, and white colors of the rocks provide spectacular views.
Bryce sits at a higher elevation than nearby Zion National Park.
The rim at Bryce varies from 8,000 to 9,000 feet.
It's hard to go up the slope.
雲の切れ間から陽があたると
岩肌の表情が変わり美しかったです。
一瞬雨がぱらついたので、虹を見る事も出来ました〜
As the sun's rays peep through the clouds,
the canyon scenery changed, so beautiful!
Temporary rain also brought them a rainbow.
Bryce Canyonを出てちょっとギフトショップを覗いた後
Red Canyon に立ち寄りました。
こちらは、山肌が本当に赤い。
They bought some souvenir at old town,
and stopped at Red canyon.
It's really red.
今夜の宿泊先Zionへ向かいます。
Let's move to Zion.
Bryce Canyon 方面からアプローチするとZion の東口に到着します。
到着したのが8:04pm、ところがゲートのおじさんが、
「大きな車がトンネルを通れるのは午後８時までだから明日出直しておいで」と
いやいや、それでは泊まる場所が。。。とお願いをして
どうにか通してもらう事になりました。通行料は$15
レンジャーに先導してもらったトンネルは細く、１マイルの長さがありました。
無事、RVパークに到着。本日の走行距離254マイル
明日はいよいよ最後。Zion です。
If you approach Zion from Bryce Canyon, you arrive at east entrance.
You have to go through the one mile narrow tunnel from east entrance, but
a large size vehicle is not able to go through it after 8pm.......remind it.
The family didn't know it, and they arrived the entrance at 8:04 pm.
The gate guy said "come back tomorrow"
After talking about their situation, a ranger led them to the tunnel,
finally, they arrived at RV park.....whew〜
Number of miles driven was 254 miles today.
レアはお散歩にも出かけているようです。
