謎が解けた！ That's why

先日のごみ収集日に、なぜかごみ箱のふたが全て開いていると書いたのですが、

その謎が今日解けました。

A few days ago, Lea noticed all of trash bins were opened after collection.

It was solved today.

今までのごみ収集車は車の横にアームが付いていて

ごみ箱は車の上部で逆さまの状態になったので

自然に蓋が開き、降ろされる時には自然に蓋が閉じていました。

The garbage truck has arm aside so far,

a trash bin was lifted above a truck upside down,

so the lid open by itself, and it close by itself when the bin is taken down.

ところが、今日来ていた収集車は

小型で日本でも使われているのと同じ様なタイプの車

後ろにアームがついているので、ごみ箱は逆さまには成らず

係りの人が蓋をあけてからアームにごみ箱を設置。

回収後蓋を閉めずに元の場所へ戻していたので、今日も見事に全開でした。

The truck which came resembled one used in Japan, 

and has arm at the backside.

That's why, a worker has to open a lid before setting a bin,
and he just brought it back to original location.

なるほどね～

どうでもいいことですが、ちょっとすっきりしました。

Oh, get it!!

Just a random thought, but feel good now.
