おおみそか new year's eve

と、いうレアの声が聞こえて来たので

"Come home early~~~~!!"

The family heard Lea's heart crying.

Universal Studio に朝一番で入り

トランスフォーマー、マミィー、シンプソンズ

そしてスタジオツアーを見てすぐに帰路につきました。

They entered at opening time of Universal Studio, 

rode a few attractions, and returned home.

今日はニューイヤーズイブ

家族でカウントダウンしなくっちゃね！

Well, today is new year's eve.

must count down with family!

笑顔にさせる魔法 It's a magic!

やっぱりディズニーに行きたい！とダディに無理を言って急遽LAへ

明け方出発。途中見えた朝焼けがきれい。

Not have any choice, the family went to Disney land!!

The morning glow was beautiful.

途中マミィのスピード違反もありましたが。。どうにか１０時半頃到着。

しかし、すぐに向かったカーズのファストパスは既になくスタンバイも180分待ち。。。

年パスホルダーも入れない日程なので混雑は予想通り。

でも長い列に並んでいるにも関わらず、大人も子供もみんな笑顔

すごなあ〜、これがDisney Magic ！

On the way, mommy got a ticket :( 

but they arrived Disney land around 10:30am.

Fast pass of Cars has already gone, the stand-by line was 180 minutes !!

Each attraction has long line, however people stood in the crazy long line with smile.

It's a magic, the magic of Disney land!!

Haunted Mansion のThe Nightmare before Christmas バージョンとても良かった。

You can meet Jack at Haunted Mansion now,

it's very good.

どこもすごい列なのに、プーさんは１０分待ち。

HKDL, TDL,WDWとたくさん遊びに行ったボーイズもすっかり大きくなったなあ

It's very short line, only 10 minutes.

This shadow tell the growing of boys.

Aladdinのミュージカル、コンパクトに上手くまとまっていて

改めてDisney movie の上手さを認識。

The musical let us recognize good of Disney movie.

今回は残念ながらカーズには乗れませんでしたが

クリスマスデコレーションがとってもきれいで

Disney ワールドを満喫しました。

Boys were not able to rode Radiator Springs Racer, but

the enjoyed these beautiful illumination and the world of Disney.

レアは置いてけぼりにされた事にとても腹を立てて

初日はご機嫌ななめだったそうです。。。。が

Lea was mad at leaving behind and was in an ugly mood.

大好きなチュルチュルを見て機嫌がなおったらしい。。

すごいね〜チュルチュルマジック！！

However, she ate noodle and changed her feeling.

高枝切り struggled to trim

庭にあるパームツリーについている実を切ってもらう事になりました。

The family decided to cut down a lot of fruits on the palm tree in the backyard.

さすがにかなりの高さなので

業者のおじさん慎重にハシゴを昇っていました。

The tree is so high, he must be careful to climb up the ladder.

2階の部屋からの方が近い高さです。

 The upstairs room is nearer....

悪戦苦闘していたおじさん

He struggled to trim the tree......

エナジーが必要だったみたい。。。。

needs more energy.....

おかげさまですっきり。

しばらく落ちてくる大量の実を拾う必要は無くなりました。

　After trimming, the shape is beautiful!

No more fruits. Good job!

観光シーズンだった。 tourist season

この冬休みはどこにも旅行に行けないので

今日はサンフランシスコへちょこっとお出かけ。。。

さすが観光地、撮られ慣れてる鳥

The family is not going anywhere in this holiday.

They went to San Francisco today.

It's tourist spot, this bird loves camera.

ワインバーで３種のワインをテイスティング

マミィは味の違いがわかりませんでしたが。。。

Wine tasting at wine bar of Pier 39.

Mommy didn't figure out these difference.

オイスターもシュリンプも美味しくいただき、

レアもチャウダーのお裾分けで満足！

Oyster shoot, shrimp cocktail.....

Lea ate clam chowder, yummy!!

観光シーズンで街は大混雑。

渋滞していたので帰りは暗くなってしまいましたが

ベイブリッジがきれいでした。

Town is full with many tourists and cars.

Traffic jam was terrible, and it has become dark when they started home.

家に戻ったレアはすっかりお疲れの様子。

Lea must be tired.....

ダディもね。。。

ちょっとまだでした need more time

ボーイズの練習に来ました。

日中は暖かく皆半袖でプレイしていました。

Lea went to the driving range.

It's warm weather, players wore short sleeves.

ダディの肩も少し回復？

打ってみたけどフォーローがとれず、シニアー見たいな打ち方に

Daddy's frozen shoulder is better than before.

He hit some balls, but was like a senior player

完全復活まではまだ時間がかかりそうです。

.......needs more time to recover.

サンタ Santa is coming

イブは家族でクリスマスディナーをいただきました。

The family celebrated Christmas eve.

ボーイズは大きくなったのでサンタさんへ手紙を書いたり

クッキーを焼いたりする事もなくなりましたが。。。。

Boys already grew up and never write a letter to Santa,

and never prepare cookies for Santa, too.

クリスマスの朝

上の子は家族一人ずつにプレゼントを用意していました。

これはダディとマミィに

Christmas morning, older boy gave each present for family.

These are for daddy and mommy.

レアは新しいぶーちゃんをもらいました！

Lea got a new Booo-chan!!

上の子は先日、合格通知という何よりのプレゼントもあり

今年の我が家のサンタでした！

Older boy received an acceptance notice from university the other day.

He is a Santa of the family in this year.

挑戦 challenge

ボーイズの好きなイカ飯

リクエストに応えてマミィは手作りに挑戦。

何イカが良いのか分からなかったのでとりあえず売っていた

ヤリイカとケンサキイカを買ってみました。

Boys like "Ika Meshi" which is sweet rice in squid.

Mommy challenged to make it today.

She found two kind of squid at Japanese grocery store, and bought both

レシピもすぐに検索できる便利な世の中

Nowadays, it's easy to find any recipe.

酢の物にし忘れたタコの足もあったので一緒に

思いがけず手軽に美味しく出来ました。

イカの種類の違いはあまり変わらなかった。

でも、一杯$3.50するのでやっぱり割高なイカ飯です。

It's easy and delicious.

The cost of squid is $3.50 each and expensive.

お裾分けをもらえなかったレアは

空になったお茶のペットボトルをもらってカジカジ

周りのフィルムはがしに挑戦し、いとも簡単にやり遂げました！

Lea that was not able to eat "Ika Meshi",  got a bottle 

and challenged to peel the film.

It's very easy task for Lea.

定番 family traditional

ダディの庭仕事＆DIYも定番になった週末

今日は上の子が芝刈りの手伝いです。

Daddy's yard work become regular in weekend.
Older boy mowed the lawn today.

シャークが作動を始めると、威嚇するのがレアの定番。

Lea's bark to shark becomes regular.

そして、毎年恒例の家族写真撮影。

レアもホリデードレスに着替え、アングル決めのモデルをします。

Lea changed to holiday dress and modeled.

ところがカメラのバッテリーが切れ充電待ち。

スーパーモデルのレアは下の子と出番待ちです。

The battery of camera was out of charge.
Super model waits for shooting.

すっかり大きくなったボーイズ。
いつまでも可愛いレア。
今年も家族が無事に過ごせた事に心から感謝。

目新しい something new

今日はダディの会社があるMountain View の

Computer History Museum へ行きました。

一人一台のコンピューターが当たり前のような社会に育ったボーイズ

少しは勉強になったでしょうか？？

The family went to Computer history museum.

Nowadays, everybody has PC, boys think it's common.

They must learn something today.

ゲームのエリアではちょっとテンションが上がったかな？

Especially, this game section would be interesting for them.

ミュージアムの近くにあるGoogleの本社

従業員移動用の自転車もGoogle カラーでした

There is a head office of Google near museum.

The color of bicycles for employee  is Google color.

そして敷地内にアンドロイドのキャラクターが飾られていたので立ち寄りました。

These characters of Android are displayed.

その後Castro にあるHoneycreek というお店に行きました。

ちょっと想像していたお店とは雰囲気が違いましたが、

意外と食べ物がおいしかった。。。

After that, they went to Honeycreek on Castro St.

They served Chinese food and were delicious unexpectedly .

実はここの目的はこのデザート

Snow iceといわれるものなのですが

Shave iceとも全く食感が違いふわっとした口溶けが何とも美味しかったです。

Actually, mommy wanted to eat the dessert "Snow"

So creamy and delicious, definitely not the typical shaved ice you would get anywhere.

レアも食べたかったーとすねていました。

Lea wanted to eat it.
