春節 Lunar new year

深刻な水不足で喜んではいられないのですが

今日はちょっとだけ気温が低め、でも気持ちがよいお天気

California's drought is severe now......

Today's temperature is cold a little, but nice day.

お散歩に出たレアもご機嫌で

走っている人をみつけると一緒に走り出し

Lea is in a chipper mood,

when she found a runner, she starts running.....

追い抜くし。。。。

自転車も追いかけようとするし。。。。

Lea also chases a bicycle 

記録的乾燥とともに今冬は記録的暖かさだそうで

街の木々も花が満開。

去年と比べると一ヶ月ぐらい早いかな？

This winter is driest and warmest.

Trees in the town has begun bloom

It is earlier for one month than last year.

今日から春節（旧正月）

カリフォルニアは記録的な干ばつで

農作物などへの影響が来年までありそうだといわれています。

昨日と今日と少し雨が降りましたがまだ解消されるにはほど遠い。

2013 was California's driest year on record, 

and so far, the new year hasn't provided much relief.

それでも草花は元気よく芽吹き始め

レアの庭も気がついたらこんなに。。。。

However, flower begins sprout out,

Lea found some shoot of flower in the backyard.

こちらはとてもいい香り

smells food.

Grammy Award

昨晩、ロサンゼルスのステイプルズ・センターで第56回グラミー賞授賞式があり、

ダフト・パンクが最優秀アルバム賞と最優秀レコード賞を含む5部門を受賞しました。

The 56th Grammy award was held at Staples center in LA last night.
Daft Punk got 5 Grammys include Album of the year and Record of the year.

授賞式ではGet Luckyを披露しスティービーワンダーも共演。

Duft Punk performed Get Luck with Stevie Wonder.

ダフトパンクは上の子が大好きで去年、四六時中聞いていました。

だからレアもおなじみ

Older boy has been listening their music day and night,
so Lea really knows it.

ダフトパンクが好きで興味を持った映画「インターステラ5555」

上の子はこの映画で初めて松本零士を知りました。。。。

He recognized Reiji Matsumoto by a movie "Interstella 5555" for the first time.

この映画で最初に演奏されているのが、「One more time」

日本でもCMにも使われ大ヒットした曲ですが

レアもだーい好き！.....ってちょっと違うかな？

The first music of this movie "One more time" was big hit in Japan too
and Lea likes it.......different a little???

車選び car for teens

今日はディーラーに上の子の車を見に行きました。

購入はもう少し先ですが、下見です。

Lea went to auto dealers to look older boy's car over beforehand.

本人の希望は三菱のランサーだったのですが

ツールがあまり充実していないとか。。。

He likes Mitsubishi Lancer, but tool is poor.

マツダやスバルなども見ましたが

トヨタカローラ、なかなか良かったです。

Mazda, Subaru, and Toyota.

Carola seems to be enhanced.

レアはやっぱりこれかな？

Lea found her pink car.....

この季節になりました。 on season

お昼過ぎダディが出張から戻って来たので

ボーイズとショートコースへ。

肩の調子も少し良くなったのでダディはリハビリです(^ ^;)

After noon, daddy returned home from Brazil.

Boys went to par 3 course with daddy.

今日も良いお天気でコース上には数えきれないほどの水鳥の子

ボールが飛んで来ても、人が来てもまったく気にしていない様子なのですが

It's a warm and beautiful day, there are many young waterfowls on the course.

Waterfowls were unmoved by flying ball and players, but......

いざ、レアが歩いて行くと一斉に池に避難しました。

レア様お通り〜

Lea approached them, they trooped off and went to pound.

今日は本コースもショートコースもプレイヤーが一杯

A lot of players played today.

待ってる間は抱っこのレア

まるで子供。。。。そしてボーイズとは兄弟

Lea wanted mommy to hug her during waiting..... like a human child.

もちろん疑う余地はありません。

生き残る survive

ハンガーゲーム２を見ました。

実はボーイズもマミィも一作目は好きではなかったので

この２作目は映画館には見に行きませんでした。

Boys watched the video "Hunger game~Catching Fire"

Honestly, boys & mommy didn't like the first film.

あらすじは、原作や予告で知られている通り。

またまたKatnissがハンガーゲームの舞台に上げられる事になります。

１作目はただただ残虐な殺し合いというイメージしか残らなかった映画でしたが

今作は虐げられているディストリクトの人たちや

ハンガーゲームに携わっている人たちの心の変化など

少しストーリーが充実したようにも思います。

The story already released by original book and trailer.

Katniss and Peeta joined the 75th hunger game again.

The first one is the film which only an image of cruel killing each other, but

this second film depicted more feeling of people with plot.

完全に次回に続くという感じで終わりました。

もともと３部作なので承知の上ではありますが

次回作はパート１と２に分けられるそうなので

これであと２年は興行収入を上げる戦法のようです。

The ending looks "to be continue", of course,

this story was made up of three books, however,

the last film "Mockingjay" will be divided into part 1& 2.

This is a strategy to get more box-office sales for two years.

実際、この映画の影響でアーチェリーに興味を抱く子供達が

増えているとニュースになっていました。

This film has created a boom in the archery business,  

a lot of kids are interested in starting archery like the heroine.

映画業界も生き残るのが大変そうです。

It seems to be hard to survive the movie business.

免許〜筆記テスト DMV

今日上の子が運転免許の筆記試験を受け,　無事に合格。

しばらく路上運転を練習して、今度はドライビングテストです。

Older boy took a driving license test and passed.

筆記試験の勉強もYoutubeでしたそうですが、

そうやって何でもいつでもコンピューターなので

ずっと目が良かった上の子も今回視力検査がぎりぎりでした。。。。

The students nowadays use PC everything.....

He lost his good eyesight and just barely passed the vision test.

とりあえず、レアも祝福！

ワイナリー Coppola winery

３連休の中日である今日はソノマにある

コッポラワイナリーへ行きました。

The family went to Sonoma, and visited Coppola winery.

フランシス.コッポラと言えばもちろん「地獄の黙示録」「ゴッドファーザー」

の監督として有名ですが、実は３度もの破産を経験したあと

ワイナリーで評価を得て大富豪になったのだそう。

Francis F Coppola is known as director of "Apocalypse now" and "Godfather",

however, he experiences the bankruptcy three times.

After that, he got winery and made a million.

こちらのワイナリーは二つ目のワイナリーだそうです。

今日はこちらでランチをいただきました。

マラケッシュラム、ポークチョップ、デザートのタルトとどれも美味！！

マミィは”ソフィア”というコッポラ監督の娘の名前のついた

スパークリングワインをいただきました。

This winery is second.

Marrakesh lamb, pork-chop, apple tart......everything taste wonderful!!

Mommy had sparkling wine "Sofia" which is a name of Coppola's daughter.

映画に関する博物館も併設されています。

There is a museum.

お天気もよく、ちょっとした小旅行を楽しむ事が出来ました。

レアがちゃんとお留守番してくれたおかげね。

Nice weather, nice place and nice wine & food.

It's thanks to Lea staying at home.

もうすぐシーズン golf season!

ゴルフチームのシーズンも来月からまた始まります。

今日は早めに帰宅したダディと一緒にボーイズは練習に行きました。

The golf season of boys starts next month.

Boys went to practice with daddy who came back home early today.

レアもまたコース脇をお散歩する日々になりそうです。

Also, the season of golf course walking starts.

昨年よりもっと活躍してほしいものです。

Lea hopes boys do well in the team.

今日も日中は本当に暖かく半袖で過ごせるほど

空も真っ青。

Clear and warm day, again.

学校から戻った下の子とレアは庭で一遊び。

Lea played with younger boy in backyard.

水際も気持ちがよく。

Relaxing at poolside, feel so good!

午後３時の気温は なんと26℃

near 80°F, at 3 pm

お日様の日をたくさん浴びて、遊んだので

夜はぐっすりです。
