スィート yum-yam

今日お芋をいただきました。

日本のサツマイモのように大きくなく、とても小さいサイズです。

Lea got a lot of yams today.

This looks is not Japanese sweet potatoes.

オーブンで焼くと美味しいと言われたので早速焼いてみました。

Mommy baked them in an oven about one hour.

石焼芋のようにホックホク

スイーツのように甘くて美味しい〜

レアもだーい好き

It became stone-roasted sweet potato.

very sweet!!

勝った！ world series

最近朝晩がすっかり涼しくなり、１０度を下回る事もあります。

レアは午前中は相変わらずベッドでおとなしくしていましたが、

午後になると少し行動し始め、庭に出てウロウロしていました。

Morning temperature around 50℉.....chilly.

Lea still stayed in her bed in this morning,

but she went out backyard, and walked around in this afternoon.

At last did she recover?

今夜はワールドシリーズの７日目、最終決戦。

見事、サンフランシスコジャイアンツが３−２でロイヤルズを下し

２年ぶり８度目の王者に輝きました！！

Tonight is game 7 of World series.

SF Giants win against KC Royals, and captured their third title in five years!!

優勝が決まったあとはレアもちょっとはしゃいで

すっかり元気になりました〜

After game, Lea looks fine.

Lea feels completely better.

やっぱりレアは勝利の女神！

ぶり返し again.....

金曜日だいぶ 腰の調子が良くなったレア

家に来た生徒さんをお出迎えしようと、ちょっと張り切ったところ

また、ぶり返してしまったらしい。。。ありゃりゃ。

Yesterday, Lea that makes a recover, wanted to say hello to guests,

and ran to the entrance.......but

she seems to get a back pain again.

今日もほぼ、ベッドで療養です。

Lea stays in her bed today.....

そして同じく金曜日。マミィはキッチンのスツールを蹴っ飛ばしてしまい

ほぼ直りかかっていた右足の薬指をまたぶつけてしまいました。

こちらもぶり返し。。。。痛たったた。

Yesterday afternoon, mommy stubbed her toe on a chair again.

Her toe almost feel completely better.......oh no!

not again!

２１回目 fancy restaurant

今日はダディとマミィの結婚記念日だったので

山の上のフレンチレストランへ行きました。

Today is the 21st wedding anniversary!

The family celebrated at fancy french restaurant.

元はホテルだったという雰囲気のあるレストラン

美味しいお食事をいただきました。

えっ！ぎっくり？ slipped disk

実は今週、レアはずっと体調が悪かったのです。

日曜日にゴルフコースから戻り、家族がディナーを食べて戻ってくると

身体を震わせたレアがいました。

歩くこともできず、ひたすら眠っていたレア

Lea looked sick this week.

After returning home from golf course on Sunday,

because the family went for a dinner, Lea stayed at home alone.

After the family came back home,

Lea was shaking and was not able to walk properly.

でも熱や動悸はなく、食欲はしっかりあったのですぐ病院には行かず、

しばらく様子をみていました。

４日たってもあまり様子は変わらず、ベッドの下に潜り込んだまま。

マミィが色々調べてみたところ「ぎっくり腰」かもしれないと。。。。

ぎっくり腰だったら一週間ぐらいで完治するらしい。

However, Lea has no fever, no palpitation, 

and she has an good appetite .

Her same condition continued for four days.

Mommy googled about dog's illness,  and found "slipped disk"

That it!

今日になって急に動きがよくなり、しっぽをふる事も出来るようになり

少しだけお散歩にも行きました。

まだ１００％ではないけれど、これで一安心。

まさかのぎっくり腰。でも良かった〜

In this morning, Lea's motion was getting better

she became to be able to wag her tail.

Great!

新しいスタイル new golf?

久しぶりにゴルフの練習に来ました。

The family went to driving rang at Santa Teresa golf course.

いつものコースなのですが、

レアはショートコースでこの看板を発見！

フットゴルフ？

最近いくつかのゴルフコースに出現している新しいスポーツです。

It becomes popular recently

さっそくプレイしている人たち。

パンプキン！ pumpkin!

街の中はすっかりパンプキンシーズンとなり、

ハーフムーンベイでは今年も巨大カボチャコンテストが開催され

各ファームではpumpkin patch といって、カボチャの露天販売所が開かれます。

It's pumpkin season!

Each farm holds pumpkin patch.

なので、レアも今日はシーズンにぴったりの

カボチャのドレスを着てみました。

初めてのお留守番？ Vocaloid concert

週末上の子のVocaloid のコンサートのため土曜日LAに向かいました。

でも下の子は興味がないからと一人で留守番を希望。

そこで、初めてレアと二人でお留守番です。

The family went to LA for Vocaloid concert that older boy attends.

However, younger boy is not interested and he wants to stay home with Lea.

日曜日のお昼、コンサート会場はダウンタウンのノキアシアター

少し早めに来たにも関わらず、すでにたくさんの人が並んでいます。

そして、コスプレしている人も多数。

The consort venue is Nokia Theater.

Many people have already lined up.

ダディとマミィは日本村プラザやカフェに行って時間つぶしです。

Daddy & mommy went to Japanese village plaza and Urth caffe to fill up the time.

上の子はコンサートとその後のイベントを満喫

Older boy fully enjoyed the concert and event.

お留守番中のレアは今回のシチュエーションにちょっと腹を立て

こんな行動に。。。。小さな反乱。

Lea is unconvinced this situation...... 

......such a rebellious attitude.

手配中？ wanted!

朝、玄関周りをお掃除した後

家に戻ると外でレアの鳴声がしたので

慌てて探しに行くと、お隣の家の前

スプリンクラーで着てた洋服もぬれていました。

While mommy was cleaning front yard in this morning,

Lea escaped from the gate, but

mommy noticed and Lea came back soon.

午後、メールをチェックをしていたら、

ご近所のソーシャルネットワークにこんな投稿が。。。

Afternoon, mommy checked email,

she found this posting on SNS of neighborhood.

朝方外をうろついていた所を、ご近所さんが目撃し、心配してくれていたので

すぐに”大丈夫です”とお礼のメールを送りました。

レアったら、ちょっとの間にどこまでうろついてたんだろう。

無事で良かったけど、ちょっと恥ずかし。。。

The neighbor worried about Lea,

mommy sent thank-you-email immediately.

It's good to didn't become serious, but mommy embarrassed a little.

髪をなびかせて ruffling hair~

だいぶ下の子の運転も慣れてきたので

レアはマミィの膝の上で安心して外を眺めていました。

Because younger boy was getting used to driving,

Lea was sitting on mommy's lap safely.

外の景色は興味深い。。。？

Lea really likes looking outside.

でもたまによく見えなくなる。。。。。

Sometimes, Lea is not able to see outside clearly...

にじ nature causes

マミィがバスルームにタオルをかけようとした時

小さい虹を発見

When mammy hung towel at the bathroom,

she found small rainbow.

廊下の反対側の部屋から差し込んだ光が鏡で反射してできていたのですが

The light came from the window of next room.

ちょっと不思議な感じでした。

mysterious.....

自然が起こす事ってちょっと幻想的。

なんかレアも幻想的？

It is slightly fantastic that nature causes.

今日はレアのご飯を作る日。

昨日の夜から煮込んで柔らかくなったビーフに色々お野菜と雑穀米。

そして、今日はスーパーフードと言われているチアシードをトッピングしました。

 胡麻みたいに見えるのがチアシードです。

Today is a day mommy prepared Lea's meal.

beef, veggie and mixed rice.

Mommy used chia seed as topping today.

チアシードは豊富な食物繊維、ビタミン、ミネラル（特にカルシウムと鉄分）

そしてオメガ３脂肪酸が豊富でグラムあたりサーモンの８倍含まれているそうです。

チアシードに含まれるタンパク質は消化／吸収しやすく

抗酸化物質も豊富に含まれているそうです。

An abundant dietary fiber, vitamins, a mineral (calcium and iron) 

and omega-3-fat are included in 8 times of the salmon per gram.

The protein that is easy to digest and absorb, is included in chia seed.

And the antioxidant material is included, too.
