同伴者 walking buddy

マミィがいない間のお散歩はダディと。

ところがレアは行くのをいやがったそう。

While mommy went to Florida, 

daddy went for a walk with Lea.........however,

Lea refused walking with daddy.

ボーイズでも同様、無理に連れて行ったら首輪を外して家に戻ったとか。。。

Boys as same, younger boy pulled Lea forcibly to let her walk,

Lea took off her collar, and run back to house.

ダディ＆ボーイズ、と２人で行くと納得して散歩に行ったそうです。

However, Lea permitted to walk, if daddy and one boy go with her.

もちろん、今日はマミィと一緒

何の問題も無く元気にお散歩へ行きました。

Today, of course, no problem, because Lea went for a walk with mommy.

知ってるのよ。 celebrate birthday

今日は下の子の16才の誕生日。

ケーキはスタンフォードのショートケーキというリクエスト。

日本のケーキのようにスポンジがしっとりしていてとても美味しい。

お店はいつも混んでいます。

Today is younger boy’s birthday.

He requests the strawberry shortcake of La Baguette

 at Stanford shopping center.

レアはディナーに出かける事を察知して、一人でそわそわ

Lea knows the family is going to go for dinner tonight and 

she feels jumpy.

残念ながら、レッドロブスターには行けないのでお留守番です。

Sorry Lea, you are not able to go today.

平日の早めの時間にも関わらず、いつも混んでいます。

ここのシーフードは新鮮で美味しいので納得なんですが。

Despite weekday and early evening,

the restaurant was already crowded.

The seafood is fresh and tasty.

お土産を持って帰ると、レアは匂いをかぎつけて。。。

白身魚をおすそわけしてもらうと、大喜び！！

Lea knows there is leftover,
she stood up and walked around!

なぜかケーキがある事も知っているレア。

まだ？まだ？と何度もマミィのところに

ではケーキでお祝いです。

Lea knows that the family eat a cake.

She came to mommy and demanded it many times.

Ok, let's celebrate!

いや、レアの誕生日ではないので。。。

感謝、感謝 see you soon

二日間開催のホイケは日曜日で終わり

マミィも友人達との再会を約束しお別れしました。

今度はいつ会えるのでしょう

とても短い時間でしたが、今まで以上に話をし、理解し合い

夜中までフラをして、忘れがたい時間を過ごす事が出来ました。

この出会いに感謝。

Sunday, Ho'ike finished.

Mommy promised to meet her friends soon again.....

this time was very short stay but mommy was able to spend happy time.

Mommy shared a lot of stories and feelings, hula together until midnight,

and promoted bounding with her special person.

月曜日、昼過ぎのフライトでカリフォルニアへ。

飛行機が遅れサンホゼ空港についたときにはもうすぐ日が沈む時刻。

あっという間だったけど充実した時間を過ごす事が出来

マミィは家族に感謝。

Monday, mommy flew back to California.

Her flight delayed a little, and arrived the time of sunset.

Mommy thank the family for having such fulfilling days.

本番！ on the stage

ホイケ一日目。

マミィはコンペティションを見ながらお手伝い

たくさん作ったフラドールを置いてもらいました。

The first day of Ho'ike

Mommy sat at this table with friends.

She made these hula dolls.

夕方、コンサートのためにステージメークをバッチリ

今回使った髪飾りは、マミィが作って用意したもの

Preparation for concert.

Mommy wore stage make-up.
These hairpieces were prepared by mommy.

本番ではあまり緊張せずに踊れました。

Mommy could perform with less stress.

レアはダディにお風呂に入れてもらって

はしゃいでいるらしい。。。。

Lea took a bath and yelp with delight as usual.

初めての missing mom

今日からマミィはフラのイベントに参加するために

フロリダのオーランドへ、初の一人旅。

乗り継ぎのダラス空港で、ハイビスカスジュースを発見。

カンクンで飲んで以来一年ぶり。やっぱりおいしい。

Mommy flew all the way across the country to join the hula event "Ho'ike"

at Orland, Florida.

This is the first time mommy makes a solo trip.

Because there's about one-hour layover in Dallas, she ate snack.

She found hibiscus juice one year to the day since she visited Cancun.

待っている間、前に座っていた親子

男の子２人が食べていたのは、ただの白いご飯。

お母さんだけがマクドナルドのチーズバーガーを食べていました。

？？？？

 Mother and two sons sat down and eat something.

Two boys were eating plain steamed rice,

only mother was eating a cheese burger of McDonalds.

そして、下の子が席を外した時。

ご飯の上に箸が。。。。日本人じゃないから仕方ないですけど。

When one boy left his seat, he put it.

This is not good manner in Japan, because 

there is custom Japanese offer a bowl of rice with sticked chopsticks 

before the tablet of the deceased.

Oh well...

夕方ホテルに到着！

久しぶりに友人達と再会し、夜は早速リハーサルです。

Late afternoon, mommy arrived at hotel,  had a reunion with old friends,

and had a rehearsal with band for tomorrow concert.

レアはいつマミィが帰ってくるのか

心配していたらしい。。。。

Lea really worried when mommy comes back home.

ラッキー！。。？ Yeah! Noooo.....

今日は久しぶりに練習へ、夕方出かけました。

レアの家からSanta Teresa GCまで信号が１９個

そのうち最初の二つだけ赤でとまり、その後はノンストップ

すごーいこんなの初めて〜ラッキー!!!

Boys went  for practice golf.

There are nineteen traffic lights on the way to Santa teresa GC from Lea's house.

The car stopped at first two lights and arrived there nonstop.

Wow! it never happen before, lucky!!

と、到着した時喜んでいたら、

”ノー、ゴルフバッグ持ってきてない!!”　とボーイズ

あらら。。。引き返しました。

When boys get off the car, they noticed forgetting to bring their golf bags.....

Oh, Noooooo......they returned.

さすがに再度ノンストップはありませんでしたが

ボーイズは練習、レアはお散歩出来たので良かったですね。

Nonstop again? of course not.

But it's OK, boys practiced and Lea enjoyed walking.

変わっちゃった！ something change

今週ミツワで九州、沖縄フェアーが行われます。

それに先駆け、久留米のラーメン店”龍の家”が一週間限定で出店

先週末、食べたらとても美味しかったので

今日もお昼に食べに行きました。

Mitsuwa Kyusyu/Okinawa Fair will be held this weekend,

before that, Tatsunoya demonstrate and sell Tonkotu ramen for one week.

The family ate the ramen last Sunday, very delicious!

Boys and mommy went to eat it again.

チャーシューが柔らかくてとても美味しかったので

今日は奮発してチャーシュー大盛りを注文！

しかし、一口食べるとなんか麺がまずい。。。。

麺自体がまずいのではなく、多分麺をゆでている水がまずいのかな？

湯切りが足りないのか、カルキというか消毒くさいというか

一杯13ドルも払ったので食べたけど、残したい気分でした。

とにかくがっかり。。。

Char siu was tender and delicious.

Boys ordered extra Char siu ramen, yum yum yum!

However, taste is different....honestly bad taste.

Soup is good,  Char siu is very good,

maybe, the water which boiled noodles is not good.....smell like chlorine.

one bowl $13......Disappoint!!

ちゅるちゅるラバーレアをお留守番させたから？？

では、ご機嫌を直して、お散歩へ

昨日見つけたキノコのかさが開いて、形が変わっていました。

They don't know the reason.......because Lea that loves noodle stayed alone?

Lea comes off her high, and went for a walk.

The huge mushroom that Lea found yesterday,

changed the shape, the cap opened more.

何？ newborn

今日もレアは元気に散歩へ。

Lea went for a walk!

いつもの公園を歩いていたら。。。

Lea found something.....

これ、なーに？

What is this?

鳥の卵かとおもったら、大きなキノコでした。

昨日のお散歩では気がつかなかったので生まれたて？

Bird's egg?.......No, it's a big mushroom!!

Lea didn't find it yesterday.....it may be a newborn mushroom.

生まれたと言えば昨日は英国王室にベビーが誕生。

皇位継承順位が３位となる3800g の男子で名前はまだ発表されていません。

おめでとうございます。

Talking about newborn, royal baby boy was born, weighing 8 pounds, 6 ounces. 

A name has not yet been announced for the child, who is third in line to the throne.

Congratulations!!

似たり寄ったり rip off??

今日は映画「R.I.P.D」を観てきました。

先日見た「Turbo」の声を演じたRyan Reynolds と Jeff Bridges の

アクションコメディですが

MIBのパクリとのレビューばかりで、評判はいまいちな作品です

The ninth  movie this summer is ”R.I.P.D"

Ryan Reynolds who provided the voice of Theo "Turbo", and

Jeff Bridges star in this action comedy.

This film is said the rip-off of "Men In Black".

確かに、MIBとの共通項は多々みられますが

ゴースト(1990 年)のストーリーにも似ていたかも。。。

しかしながら似たり寄ったりの映画は数多く存在するもの。

大きな賞にノミネートされるような作品ではないかもしれませんが

それなりに面白い映画だったと思います。

Certainly, it's similar plot, character, and setting..

Mommy thought this story is similar to "Ghost".

However, there are many similar movie.

This will be not nominated Oscar but it will entertain you.

ゴルフショップ huge, nice, super!

今まで知らなかったのですが、４月にオープンしたという

Palo Alto の PGA Tour Superstore へ行ってみました。

Daddy heard about PGA Tour Superstore that opened in April,  from his friend yesterday.

The family decided to drive to Palo Alto today.

まず、店舗の広さにびくり！

そして、全てにおいて品揃えが豊富。

ダディはゴルフスミスには決して満足していませんでしたが

その点、この店はゴルファーにとって夢のような店です。

The store is HUGE, with a lot of selections.

This store is a golfers dream, they have everything. 

Daddy has never been completely satisfied with Golfsmith  

シュミレーター付きの試打室もずらっと並び

メンバー用の室内練習場もありました。

They also have a bunch of individual demo bays that have simulators,

and indoor driving range for member.

今日は特にお世話になる機会は無かったのですが

スタッフの評判もものすごーく良いようです。

★★★★★。。。。。

ダディがまたすぐこの店へ行くのは間違いないです。

The stuff seems to have a fairly good reputation.

Daddy will definitely be coming back.

鹿も見守るショートコースでプレイ

After that, the family went to Santa Teresa,

and rounded short course.

The galleries are deers.

レア姫は暑さをよけながら芝生の上をエンジョイしました。

Lea enjoyed golf course with family.
