お役目 It's a duty

昨日は暑かった～と思ったら

やっぱり暑かったそうです。

What a difference a day makes yesterday we were hot and humid.
So hot that Miami tied a record with an official high of 93°
the old record was 93° set back in 1996.







今日はキルトの日

次々と作品が完成し、新しい作品へと入っていきます。

仕上がった作品を見せて頂くのは何ともうれしいものです。

Today is Quilt day.
It makes mommy happy that students finish their works.





 

レアは皆さんのお出迎え、お見送りの役目をしっかりと果たし

今度はボーイズのお迎えです。

Lea waited to welcome and saw them off.
Its' a  duty of Lea !
Next? Lea picked boys up at library.

お腹のすいたボーイズの希望でバーガーキングに立ち寄りました。

Boys went to Burger King because they were hungry.

 お行儀よく待つのもレアのお役目。

Lea ordered at boys' request and waited properly.
Of course!!  Its' a  duty of Lea !

かわいい police car

今日はフラのワークショップでDoral の学校へ行きました。

その帰りに立ち寄ったDolphin Mall の駐車場で見つけました。

なんとも可愛いピンクのポリスカー

Mommy went to John I Smith Elementary for hula workshop.

After that she found this cute police car at the parking lot of Dolphin Mall.

車しかなかったのでわからないのですが

どんなポリスマンが乗ってたんでしょう？？？？

Nobody was inside the car.

What kind of police man use it??

お買いものへ Trader Joe's

我が家から西へ1時間半程のネープルズに足を延ばして

Trader Joe's へお買い物に行ってきました。

Trader Joe's はカリフォルニアに拠点のある全米チェーンのグロッサリーストアーです。

The family went to Naples where is about one and half hours from Lea's house,

and went to shopping at Trader Joe's that is a grocery store of the U.S. chain based in California.

自社ブランドの製品が多く、比較的お値段もお手頃。

オーガニックの物が多く、ご近所のPublix などとは全く品ぞろえが違うので

色々と買い込んできました。

They have many own brand products and those prices are low.

Most of PB products are organic.

レアも興味深々。

Lea was interested in the contents of the paper sack.

お天気屋 bad weather, bad mood

今日はゴルフに行きました。

4月にボーイズがトーナメントを行ったOspray Point Golf Course

ここはPalm Beach county の公営コースにもかかわらずメンテナンスが良く

芝のコンディションがとても良い。

プレイフィーが安い上、子供は半額です。素晴らしい～!!

The family went to Ospray Point Golf course where boys played in April tournament.

This is Palm Beach County's Public Golf Course,

but good maintenance, good condition,  cheap green fee and

kids are half price.

広々としたコースで気持ち良くプレイ

 

 The family played comfortably in an extensive course.....

と、思ったのですが

最近とても前向きにゴルフをするようになった下の子が

今日は全くやる気がなく、それがプレイにも表れて最悪でした。。。

難しいお年頃ですね・・・・ふ～

but, younger boy who had a desire for improving golf,

wasn't on it today.
He is teenager indeed......

そしてコース脇のこのブッシュがくせもの

ちょっと転がって入っても全く見つけることができず

ボールを無くすこともしばしば。。。

This bush was trouble.

Once the ball roll into this bush, you never find the ball.

とても天気が良かったコースを後に家路に着くと

途中空がだんだんあやしくなり・・・雲の中には何度も閃光が走りましたー”

On their way back home, the sky was covered by rain cloud 

and the lightning lit up the sky many times.

するとどっと雨が降り始め、前の車のテールランプを頼りに走るような状況に

これではレアのお散歩いけないかな～と心配したのですが

Finally, heavy rain started.

Mommy worried whether Lea will be able to go for a walk or not.

さすが!　レアは晴れ女でした！

Mommy didn't need to worry.

The sun is always shining on Lea!

The Native Village

今日マミィはThe Native Village へ行ってきました。

Mommy went to The Native Village.

このエリアはネイティブアメリカンの居留区

Hard Rock hotel の向かいにあります。

ゲーターはもちろん、絶滅危惧種のフロリダパンサーもいました。

This area is native American population center.

There is the Native village in the opposite side of the Hard Rock hotel.

ゲーターのショーも見せてくれてます。

You can see the gator's show.

 眠っている格好は…あらっ？レアと同じ。

月に一度ポリネシアンナイトを開催する企画があり

今夜はその一回目でした。

Tonight was the first Polynesian night at The Native Village.

 

エージェント Men in Black

今週末はメモリアルデーで4連休。

本日公開の映画「Men in Black 3」を見に行きました。

Boys went to the movie "Men in Black 3"

マミィは１、２はちょっとグロテスクであまり好きでは無く

きちんと見た覚えがありませんが

ボーイズがこの公開を楽しみにしていました。

Mommy didn't like this series because of grotesque.

 

今回はあまりグロテスクではありませんでした。

エージェントJとエージェントKの秘密が明らかにされます。

1969年の若きエージェントKを演じたJosh Brolin は

決してTommy Lee Jones と似ているとは思えないのですが

何とも同じ雰囲気を醸し出し、若きエージェントKを違和感なく見せてくれました。

味のある俳優さんです。

This film was not so grotesque.

Agent J will have to travel back in time to put things right. 

J discovers that there are secrets to the universe that K never told him -- 

secrets that will reveal themselves as he teams up with the young Agent K (Josh Brolin) 

to save his partner, the agency, and the future of humankind.

 Though Josh Brolin doesn't look like Tommy Lee Jones but

Josh was exactly Young agent K.
